- Alumni are hard to find as many distinguished people are alumni of DCE, and those of DTU are new in corporate industry
Course Curriculum Overview
I got a rank of 33k which led me to choose Mechanical Engineering. However, I was getting Electrical Engineering in DTU but I didn't take it as its a heavy branch and requires time, which I want to invest in coding so ya... Faculty to student ratio is pretty decent, we have about 10-15 faculty members including all subjects and labs and our class strength is 75, so its about 1:5. Faculty teaching is extremely talented, some of the professors are graduated from IITs, Stanford University, UC Berkeley and many IVY Leagues. Although not all faculty has such exceptional qualifications, they hold pretty much knowledge in their teaching domains. Exams are pretty difficult but it is not of a problem if you study from the start of your semester.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are not much I would say you should upskill yourself and find them off campus. I bet you'll easily find many opportunities especially on LinkedIn. Try doing internships in esteemed institutions like IITs, IIMs, BITS, IIITs etc. I would suggest to talk to seniors and people who have been in you position and successfully achieved heights in that phase of college.
Placement Experience
Placements are good in DTU but don't expect them to be as good as those of old IITs. But ya they are much more than newer IITs. Also, if you gain relevant skills and maintain your CGPA, you're not have any problem in grabbing high package. For detailed placement stats, you should refer official website. Percentage of students placed depends individually on a batch but most of the students get placed that's not much of a big deal. I am thinking of doing Masters from abroad after my Bachelors, as I am a constant learner and I want to explore new dimensions.
Fees and Financial Aid
Approximate annual fee for general category students is 240000. In our 1st year it was 225000 with an hike of around 35000 in 4th year, i.e., 260000. Scholarships are apt if you fall in low income group or come from reserved categories. If you want brief details you may look on www.dtu.ac.in
Campus Life
Annual fests are the most exciting times in the year. Our fests include Invictus the techfest, Engifest the cultural fest, Yuvaan the literary fest, E Summit the entrepreneurship fest etc. Most of these fests are conducted in first two months of the year. Library is very big, you'll have no need to buy any book, you could just get it issued from the library and return once you've read it. Classrooms have ACs and there are many water coolers available for drinking water. There is a big sports complex with indoor badminton and table tennis centre. There is also outdoor and indoor gym facility available. There are many outdoor sports facilities such as Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Badminton, etc. There is also a big track for running. There are a huge number of societies, which you can join and know more on DTU's official website.
Hostel Facilities
Charging sockets, Washroom, Cupboard, Study Table, Bed Mess food is good and affordable You shall fill up the hostel form for applying. Just search that on your browser and you'll find it. Hostels are affordable, generally not given in 1st year to students with Delhi quota. If such is your case, you can opt for PGs near campus. I personally took a PG which was 2 minutes away from campus, you'll find many of them so choose wisely.
Admission
You have to give JEE Mains exam. After that you shall apply on JAC Delhi website for admission and counselling. Application fees was about 1500 and you have to pay about 95000 for accepting a seat in JAC colleges. Admission process is smooth so don't worry
Other Applied Colleges
IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology [IITD] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Didn't get enough rank
