Lpu campus is amazing and there is a lot to explore
Lpu library is massive where you can find a wide ranhe of books
A lot of food courts are available wherw we can try varieties of food items

Dislikes

Non-veg is not allowed in campus..that is the thing i hate the most.
Rules and regulations of lpu are ridiculously horrible especially for girls
Dogs are roaming in the campus which is quite uncomfortable for me

Course Curriculum Overview

My passion for coding led me to this university. I am quite sure that LPU will help me to achieve my goals since lpu provides a lot of opportunities and platform to grow Faculties are highly qualified and they are very much friendly to students.. Term exams of first semester is easy..python and maths are the only subjects students are feeling some difficulties..

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 86000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are so many internships opportunities, paid internships are also available even for 1st year students, I don't have much information about this. But am sure that in 3rd year after doing internship for 1 month you will be permanently placed in the company

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities are really good in lpu. A lot of companies are visiting each year. If you hold a good cgpa and perform well,surely you'll get placed. Highest package is 64 lpa and average package is 8lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete fee structure is available in lpu official website. Fee structure for BTECH CSE is 120000 per semester. Lpu provide scholarships based on LPUNEST score cutoff or class 12th percebtage cutoff. Maximum of 36000 can be availed from LPUNEST.

Campus Life

Lpu organises many events and programs to bring out young talents. For freshers they conducts a freshmen talent search so that new students can come out and display they talent as they start their college journey.. There are a lot of clubs which will contribute to involve in extracurricular activities along with academic life. Lpu library is massive..you can find a wide varieties of books

Hostel Facilities

Hostel faciliy is good. But dogs are roaming inside the hostel that's the only thing I hate. Mess food is average. Some days it's good but in some days it's worst. Registration process is easy just needed to visit their site and book by paying 10k then rest of the amount need to be paid on or before the reporting day.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

My admission was through online, I got selected through the criteria of jee mains marks and marks in 12th grade through this got tier 1 scholarship. If you have above of 80 percentile in jee mains and above 95 percentage in 12th grade as of 2023 you will get a scholarship of 33,600. The tuition fee is 120000. You can take complete admission from their online site. I don't recommend staying in hostel but if you are new to the surroundings and environment you should prefer hostel, for better security

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

LPU's REVIEW WITH HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY
