Likes

Campus is beautiful with good infrastructure
Diversity is there in lpu many South Indian students are here
Mess food is affordable and food is not bad

Dislikes

Hostel fee is too high if we include residential facilities charges it is greater than course fee
Guards are not friendly they are in chance of putting UMC
College schedule is too hectic to handle

Course Curriculum Overview

-I choose B. Tech in computer science because I want to become a software engineer. -One teacher teaches 5 classes same subject. -Some are excellent some are decent. -First semester classes starts from 21 August then midterm happens in October and the end term in December. If the preparation is good then it's not tough to pass

As I am fresher I have no idea about internship and placement but surely companies visits campus for full stack web developer etc . Tcs ,Wipro ,Infosys and ibm visit Lovely Professional University campus.

Placement Experience

After 6th semester students are eligible for on campus placement drives. Many companies visits lpu like Amazon, cognizant and Google,etc. Many students get short listed during the cgpa criteria. There are 16k+ admission in btech computer science this year so many will get detained or get shortlisted by cgpa criteria.

Fees and Financial Aid

Examination fee is 8000 per semester. My scholarship is 28% which is category 1 scholarship in lpunest scholarship test . Course fee is 120000. I am fresher in lpu and placement and internship happens here after 6th semester so I hadn't got any job yet.

Campus Life

Doing engineering it is quite hard for me to enjoy my college life. There are 46+ exams including various projects,ca , mid term ,end term , viva,etc so it was hard for engineering students to enjoy college life but fests are good and happens regularly. There and many clubs for free in dsw in lpu like dance, guitar, singing,etc

Hostel Facilities

Residential facilities rates are more than semester fees rate and the facilities provided are good .like each non AC room contain geyser, three fan and a cooler with a bed and a study table with chair. Registration process for hostel is smooth.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

I had given lpunest scholarship test and qualified it and got 28% scholarship in my course. Eligibility for lpunest:- 60% in physics, chemistry, maths Application is easily available on lpu official website and all information regarding it is also mentioned there when I given lpunest exam the form fees is ?1000. Admission process is quite good and fast it hardly take more than a hour for me to finish my admission process. Everything is good . Lpunest is conducted in two ways:- either online or centre based so the candidate can give that exam according to his/her personal preference. Examination fee vary for male and female. For female candidates fees is half of male candidates. At every railway station near lpu like Phagwara ,Jalandhar lpu bus are present to took students directly to the college for free after landing from train. Admission process happens in unpolish in lpu. There students need to go to various counter and proceed to their admission formalities.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
