Remarks

About the college i give it 7/10. There is always something less what we expect. Improvement leads to better tomorrow. Its not the faculties or management that makes college proud, its the STUDENT.

Entrance Preview

I gave jee mains entrance exam in which i managed to score 100 marks which was 5 less than the cutoff. As i didn't clear the cutoff so i was only eligible for state level counselling . I opted for this college because it has a good reputation since 1957 and has a good name through out india.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

According to me, the courses doesn't focus on the research field. The courses are good enough to get enough knowledge about the subject but they aren't that much detailed to focus on research. There are very less subjects which are elective. But the main subjects provide you the overall development of that branch. So coming to MITS you don't have to worry about the courses, just focus on whta you have been given to study. The provided course is useful for the GATE perspective.

Internships Opportunities

Madhav Institute of Technology and Science does not provide any internship for third students.Neither they call any company for the internship. All you have to do is apply for the internship on your own. This year our college has started a compulsory internship for first year student without any stipend.

College Events

3

All types of technical, cultural and management festivals are held in our colleges. There are many societies which organize these events. Some societies are at the national level like ISTE and IET AND some are of state and college level. They provide all-round development of a student. Every field has their own society in college managed by the students with a faculty advisor.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is an autonomous college so the fee structure is little heavy. But within 4 years the fee has been hiked four times making it double. So when we compare it with the four year past fee structure yeah it is expensive. But it is feasible too because many private colleges with more fee does not provide the quality of education provided by our institution.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't get any scholarship because I am a general student with a creamy layer so I don't have much knowledge about the scholarship or loan facility provided by our college. But there are many students in my hostel who are getting scholarships up to 60-70% which is a good relief to a family. The loan is easily provided to a student if required.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life in MITS is overwhelming as there are students from different cities. Gender ratio is around 10 boy is to 6 girls. All type of events are organised in our college. Our college team of football, cricket, basketball, volleyball and badminton has represented in state level. Many workshops are organised. Women grievance cell is there for the girls. No type of politics in MITS.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel, student living in MITS hostel call it heaven. Yeah, it is the second heaven on earth after home. I too live in a hostel. Hostel and mess facilities are good according to the price but besides this, there are many more things that happen in the hostel. We learn and learn and leave learning until our final year. The bond between senior and junior is unbreakable. Trust me, the things that I learned from hostel cannot be learned anywhere in the world. It teaches you everything, makes you independent, leadership, time management, confidence, rough & tough and many more things. Hostel rooms are well equipped with beds, almirah and study tables. Hostel seats are limited, first come first take process is levied. No knowledge of PGs. I suggest you take hostel if coming to MITS.

Alumni/Alumna

The interaction with the Seniors is lifetime as we are all connected through social networking sites like facebook and instagram. We have an alumini group and society in our college which is very useful.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is same as the normal exam structure. Labs are well equipped with all necessary equipments.besides the lab in MITS are not as IITs. We are given good knowledge about the things thought in our labs which make our day. Exams are as usual hectic as they leave us the number. Actually, it depends from student to student.

Admission

The admission process is same as other colleges through Madhya Pradesh state level counselling.I filled the form from the MP Online portal and i got notified from there itself. There are two levels in the counselling process.i got electronics and communication in first counselling and then i opted for second counselling leaving my seat of EC vacant where i got my most preferred branch IT.

Faculty

3

Faculties in MITS are all same as of the other government colleges in India. They have enough knowledge but they don't want to circulate. There are all types of faculty. Faculties from IITs, NITs and many other reputed colleges but the problem is that they are not interested in teaching a particular course and neither a student is willing to grasp that course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.
