This is the best place where i could have been. It's just amazing being here. The culture, the academics, everything about this college is so fascinating.
VMMC takes students through AIPMT. I gave AIPMT Exams No there was no interview, just a written entrance test. My parents are doctors and since childhood I was interested in what they were doing always. Hence I got inspiration from my parents.
Course Curriculum is really good compared to other Medical Colleges. Practical approach is the main focus. We are made to examine and gather each and every information about the subject. Researches are being conducted in collaboration with National Institute of Pathology.
Yes its a one year compulsory internship. College does have provision for that. Stipend is Rs. 19000 per month. Its much more than other medical colleges in Delhi because our college is funded by central government. Therefore Internship culture is excellent here.
Placement is the best thing about VMMC. All are placed since we need many doctors in the country. It's a medical college. There are no companies. One has to serve the state for 10 years if he's from the same state or UT. Average package cannot be taken into consideration because initial 10 years of your service, you serve for your state.
VMMC conducts good levels of Technical and Cultural events. Managerial fest culture is yet not introduced in VMMC. Its difficult for a medical college student to cope up with all the extra efforts. College authorities fund for the events.
VMMC is really affordable as compared to other medical colleges. The fees for the whole year is RS 33,500/- excluding hostel. Hostel fee is around Rs.500 per month which is very cheap even if we compare to other government colleges.
Yes, college does provide scholarship for economically weak students. Toppers every year get scholarships.
Not much of extra curricular activities take place in college. Opportunities are limited to medical terms only. Facilities are good.
Hostels are good enough to live. Hostels are sharing for your junior years but in the final year you get single rooms. Food is okay. I won't say its too good but its okay to be eaten. No PG facility by college but one always has an option as Delhi is full of PGs. Hostel fees is very cheap. Just Rs. 500/- per month.
VMMC has a strong connection with all its Alumni. There are speeches and workshops conducted by the Alumni network.
VMMC has a very chill culture when we talk about exams. Only finals are taken serious. They pressure us very less as compared to other medical colleges in Delhi. We are focused more towards gaining practical knowledge.
Faculty is simply amazing. Perfect teachers. Very much interactive. They have tutorials where 5 students are with one teacher. So it's pretty interactive. The student to teacher ratio in tutorials is 5:1 which makes it so easy to clear all the doubts of the classes and practicals.
After 4.5 years if your MBBS course you have to take a learning experience with your elder doctors or your representation. You have many options to do jobs if you want to continue your studies for MD/MS so you can opt for gov MBBS doctor in your own colleges otherwise you can also keep continuing you doctorate experience from the same college that they provided. Almost 90% to 100% of students were selected in the same college or in another top hospital in India.
After IV semester they are eligible for campus placements there are various company is that come for the campus placements I don't know exactly the details of the average students who got the placements as I am new almost 95% students get the campus placements and I am planning to do a private job after the degree.
The Management is directly assigned under the control of Central Government & totally Funded by Central Government. When it’s under the supervision of Central Government one has to be rest assured on the selection criteria of the management as well the quality selection procedure of the management.
I did my MBBS from NDMC Medical College which was worth it. The college has great education system with a good faculty and nice campus with a green cover. The college has a hostel but it is not as good so I would recommend staying outside campus. The training programmes and practicals bring in depth to studying at this college.
On an average my college despite of being a new one and having a history of not more than a decade but has maintained all its standards at quite an appreciable level. And as a reward our college in just 10 years of its estabilishment, we have been ranked in the top 25 premiere medical institutes of India
Placements: All the students score incredibly good ranks for their post-graduation exam. Many students try for USMLE and also clear the exam. Many students join the same college to pursue a PG course, and they also have some preference over other students. The students get multiple opportunities depending on their high clinical knowledge.
