Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in coding, web development, ethical hacking from very begining so I had an option of computer science so i choose it. Faculty to student ratio is 50:1 according to me. Faculties are of good quality and classes are held regularly it depends on the students how regular they are to score good. Term exams held timely. It is easy to pass if you have studied but it is not so strict. Some students manage to pass even if they do some effort.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 280000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure for 1st year was 2.8 lac which is costlier than other universities but they provide faculties and campus of good quality so it is worth giving it. LPUNSET is organised for scholarship program and many students score good to get financial assistance. There is campus placement from LPU. It depends on the overall performance of yours in period of your course.If you have studied good then you can get a decent package of 6 to 8 lpa

Campus Life

There are many fests organised in LPU. Our main fest were ONE WORLD in november and ONE INDIA in march. LPU is best in terms of cultural events and fests. LPU libraries are huge and have lacks of book if we combine.They have a lot of journals, magazines, e books, newspapers etc. The class-rooms are standard, well fitted with students desks / benches with seats , podium , white board, projector, sound system ,CCTV camera, recording system and Air conditioning( used during the hot season). LPU provides the students with a lot of opportunities. For those interested in sports, the campus is equipped with all necessities like a basketball court, cricket ground, swimming pool, and more. Students interested in volunteer work can get into government organizations such as NSS. There are many organisations by students such as Goggle developer student club on social media, student organization club, Techical club, Social Innitiative club etc.

Admission

Admission process was very smooth.You need to apply for LPUNEST or CUET exam. Eligibility of the course is that you must be 12th pass with 60% aggregate. You will find application form on university website. Application process starts early in february and exams help in march. I want to see more transparency in admission process.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
