Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as after b tech I wished to pursue marine engineering. The faculty is very helpful and polite in nature they are always ready to help and they teach very well and ontime. The ratio is also good as for lecture the strengths is 45 like that but for tuition type they have 20 to 25. Term exams are always on time and it's easy to pass if you have attended the 75 percent of the lecture then also you can clear the exam

From 7 semester students get eligible for placement they get almost every day interview if they get selected they will get call letter highest pakages was 240000. 98 percentage students get placement. After my graduation I'm preparing for government exam

Fees is nominal as lpu have greater chance of practical tools and equipments well mentioned environment and pollution free campus. Everything is accessible on your finger tips you can take help of almost any faculty from the university whether you have taken mechanical course but still you can take help of computer engineering faculty.

Campus Life

Fest keep on going on it depends on you how and where you want to spend time. They have more than 5 library books are in ample amount. They even place order for you if some books are not their librarian will make sure you get it as soon as possible,in classroom you get everything theirs is water cooler and washroom on floor.you will get almost every sports including ncc and nss. Hostel Facilities

Dentist are good dental doctor sit 2 a week whereas the normal doctor sits 24*7. You get ambulance service free of cost.but the price of medicine is high try to get from outside the campus.the mess food quality is healthy and you can have as much as you want 3 times a day you get. I was in bh4 it's too good and near mechanical building no 54. In hostel daily cleaner comes and clean

Admission

Their was an entrance exam through which I qualified and got 30 percent scholarship the tuition fee for 6 month was 89500 but through entrance I got scholarship and took admissions. You can find the application form online on the official websites of lpu and they will send the entrance exam details on your phone's. Lpu have various centre all over India you can choose your hometown for exam and at the same time you can take admission in your hometown. Then they will give date on which you have to report in campus.the admission process takes almost 3-4 hours if they can make it little faster then it will be great

A perfect college to take admission for a good future

Likes

Interactions with lecturers from internation universities like- harvard and university of scotland
The mentors and faculties were supportive
They used to conduct placement assistance aswell.

Placement Experience:

We were offered placement assistance as it was an online program and i really think it is a good initiative because college are least bothered for placements for their online programs. As i had to pursue a career in marketing i started doing projects and internships in marketing and sales domain.

Management is helpful and good, you can reach them for help

Dislikes

Attendence i perdonally didn't like, but it is mandatory
little bit parking issue inside the campus
overall college is good, you can go for it but not for placements

Placement Experience:

Rest everything is good with college, only i have issue with placement, since there are very poor or only core sales job in punjab, college is able to provide that only. You have to work your ass off if you want to get good placement, provided their education quality is good

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Teachers have a lot of knowledge and are very supportive.
Busy opd , hence enough number of patients for practical studies.
Reaserch is very much promoted and supported.

Dislikes

There is no proper sports complex yet .
There is no gym in campus , for gym we have to go out of the campus.
There is no college fest of our college.

Since we all know MBBS is course for being a doctor . As being doctor was a dream of mine i chosed this course.MBBS course is quite hectic but this is required since after completion of course we will become doctors and patients like will be in our hands. The best thing is that it is very affordable and enhance your knowledge at various aspects.
The second thing is there are extra hostel charges.
And conducts various conferences and workshops for enhancing students knowledge

Dislikes

The location of the college is not that much good.
You have to travel half an hour to reach market.
The hostel rules disallow you for high voltage electricals

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

An In-Depth Look at Campus Life and opportunities at Chandigarh University

I think, the campus is being liked by everyone whether its staff member or a student, because the university consists of many blocks or departments and that too are named as A1, A2, A3, A4 & B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 & C1, C2, C3 & D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6,D7,D8
Parks and all are made for the relaxation purpose of the student
Car Parkings are available separately for the students and staff and that also inside the campus which is ambitious.

Dislikes

The semester fees and other expenses is relatively higher as compared to other institutions
Some students find the university’s rule such as strict attendance policies and accurate timings for the classes, quite stringent
Mostly 2 common times, one is in morning nearby 8.50 AM to 9.50 AM and in evening nearby 3.50 PM to 5.00 PM, the rush is like horses and buffaloes! There is so much over crowded & most of the crowd occurs by the Autos, but no one do anything for that

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
