Likes

Exam patterns of MCQ types were very helpful
Strict timely entry of girls in hostels was very reassuring
The food options at the food courts were lovely as mess food were not the best at all times.

Dislikes

Mess food was definitely something I did not like.
The hostel room cleaning was a difficult task as the cleaning uncle would come when we were in class
Laundry service was not the best there. You should rather do your own laundry if you don't want to waste your favorite shirt.

Course Curriculum Overview

Reason behind choosing computer science was my passion to become a software engineer. This is a huge university and hard to get an idea of faculty to student ratio. Although, the faculties were readily available to help out students always asn we had personal mentors assigned who would always help us out. Teachers were Masters Qualified or PhD holders mostly. Exams were failry easy to pass but a little tough to get above 9GPA. All exams were announced at least one month prior so that students could bok tickets to go home on time and the exams were never postponed.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 94500 per year

Internships Opportunities

Capgemini offered zero for the full stack java developer internship but it was worth it as we got to learn about a lot of technologies being used in the industry which we had not learnt in the college. Verzeo offered 10K per month and JungleWorks offered 6LPA job offer in sales position.

Placement Experience

100% of the college students at least in CSE would get placed. I can guarantee that. Because I was average in studies and still I had 3 offers by the time I gaduated from LPU. So, if you study a little bit in class, you will definitely get placed. Don't worry.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had 3 offers in hand before completing my degree. I had a scholarchip of 35000 per semester on the basis of the LPU NEST scholarship exam. I didn;t have to opt for any financial assistance although my friends got all kinds of assistance from getting study loand and financing support as needed.

Campus Life

There werr no clubs as in pubs but we had drama clubs, sports clubs and a lot more. We had an open auditorium, an indoor auditorium and a live performance stadium where all celebs would come and perform in almost all of our college programs. Overall it was worth it. Love the time we spent there.

Hostel Facilities

There were single AC Apartments and up to 8 sharing dormatories available in the college. Depending on your choice you can opt for any one. I choose the non ac 4 sharing hostle. We had air coolers although we didn't need the since we woulf be in our AC classes all the time or out enjoying. Hostel was for bonding at night, playing games and all.

Hostel Fee: INR 72000 per year

Admission

Eligibility was 60% for all other states and 55% for North Eastern States. I applied through the college representative who came to Tripura for admission purposes. I didn't get any reservation benefits from college, but the college provided scholarship on the basis of a test calles LPU NEST. The admission process was seamless.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
