What Students Say

Likes

College campus and the management of the college for the safety
The way teachers teach and help students
The phycological evaluation and the extra curricular the college organises for the students

Dislikes

Lifts cannot be use by the students they should only use stairs
It's quite far away from the station atleast 20 min
Canteen facility is not available in the college

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I wanted to join this course from a long time as I was very interested in the same. The faculty is great and students ratio is also quite good but teachers try to focus n give time to each students.Teachers are also amazing they give there 100 percent to the students..They also have doubt lecture before every exams and also conduct phycological evaluation for every student before the exam so that the students doesn't have any kind of pressure..Term exams are conducted 2(twice) a year, if the student is studying well you can pass the exam very easily.

Class Size: 105Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

As the College is completely government college the fees for the same is bit less compare to other colleges. If the student is doing very great they also provide scholarship. The students will have a placement session in the last semester of the course

Campus Life

4.5

The college campus is pretty huge.Maharashtra Utsav is the biggest fest celebrated in the college in the month of January. Many other activities such as tech fest, food fest are celebrated in the college.College also Have a huge library section.Sports quota is also there.Students have also started a page on the social media platform

Admission

The eligibility for this course is just that you have to clear your 12th from any recognised board. As the college campus is very vast and beautiful there are different counters for the admission. The student have to collect the form from the admission counter, last date of admission and details about the fee structure will be mentioned in the form or if u have any doubt regarding the process you can ask the teacher present at the counter..As it is a government college people who are From Sc/St or any reservations quota can have benefits regarding the admission or fee as well,by showing the proof for the same. Its a very beautiful and best degree college with amazing and wonderful teachers.Anyone can join it. All the very best!!

The Sittings accross the campus is really student friendly
Canteens were supper affordable for students for food accessibility

Dislikes

The cordination given by management of college, They were so rude all the time idk y

Course Curriculum Overview:

Literature gave me insights to the history and a different pov on the situations happened Literature sharpens the thought process we can have in real world scenarios which are quite unique tbh. Its just too much of theory, if could update it and make it somehow relavent to today situation, it would be fun learning it

SPC from a TYBA students POV

Likes

Kalamandal (like theatre club), it’s a different world and it’s magical.
December to March is the college fests time and it’s super lively and fun
Psychology, Sociology & Philosophy departments have amazing professors. They’re smart, helpful and actually care for their students

Dislikes

Except for Psyc, Socio& Philo other departments are awful specially the English department. The HOD herself speaks horrible English and doesn’t even know any books of jane Austin besides pride and prejudice.
The toilets are horrible and never clean and are barely open even. The canteens are also okayish at most.
The management and accounts department are horribly slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's good, it's fun and I enjoy it. It changes every sem and that's why we also get to explore more of the subjects. It also depends on the professor tho. First year is to chose 6 different subjects and explore. Then second year you get to choose one major and two minors. Major are then divided into 3 parts, the 2 minor subject are elaborated and one compulsory subject which is English, this continues for third year. There are 2-3 additional subjects that change every sem too like PE, EVS, etc.

Best Budget College Of Mumbai

I went to seek admission in three colleges which were Kishinchand Chelleram College (KC College), Jai Hind College, And St. Xaviers College to pursue my Bachelor Degree In Information Technology but unfortunately, I did not get admission to any of these colleges because I tell you the reason also in case of K.C College the admission fees were high than the fees other colleges. Then I went to Jai Hind College but the seats were already filled by students so there were no seats for me. After that, I went to St. Xavier's College and enquired in the office of admission procedure and I came to know that only in-house students can only take admission no outsiders are allowed. And at the last but not the least I visited elphinstone colleges and luckily there were seats available and fees were also reasonable for open category aside of reserved quota fees which were too low as only 10% of our fees. So I took admission In it. The admission process was very simple we dont require high marks or age limit....Read More

Aided are best

Elphinstone College is very old as compared to most all the Mumbai colleges and its alumni are at their best. There are various types of courses available for students. The admission process totally depends on students and it's on a first come first serve basis so maybe no need to give any exams and all. But only a few courses need to give the entrance exam. I preferred this college because of its platonic criteria. I have visited the college then opted to Choose....Read More
