Senior-junior bonding is very good in the college.every yr students get good rank in GATE ..its only due to seniors who guide us.not a single person take coaching

Jee mains is the gateway throughwhich any one can take admission in btech course.i have also cleared the jee mains exam.there is no any interview for btech.after counselling through JOSAA u can get this college.This college is specialised in metallurgy ,foundry ,forge and manufacturing.mine interest in metals attracts me to this colege.best place to become metallurgist.

Course Curriculum Overview

i am from btech,metallurgy and materials engineering.Course which we studies is well framed and oriented.this covers all the subject knkwledge required for metallurgist and also covers all the topics of GATE metallurgy.

Internships Opportunities

In 3 rd yr college provide some internship but professors and seniors helps to do it.i have done intern in R and D of SAIL in 2nd yr but it was not paid .

80-90 percent got placed during campus selection.companis visited are KPMG,Usigma,Vedanta,Electrosteel,tata motors,Sswl,federal mogul and many more.avg package is around 4 lpa and highest was 8 lpa except one who got selected fir IOCL got 13 lpa.

Jinks and pranav is the cultural and technical fest of the college.the budget for this around 25 lacks.avg footfall is arond 3-4 thousand.one of the best moments for college students.lot of skills develop and learnt in organising process.

one of the least semester fee among all the national institutes.semeater fee for btech is only Rs 25600.this includes all facilities including hostel except mess.u have to pay monthly Rs 2850 for mess fee.

yaa..top 14 students in yr got all his tution fees means 7 student from metallurgy and 7 frim manufacturing.there is also a provison of Rs 120000 schilarship for Top 5 syltudents of metallurgy from ministry of steel.

Cricket,football,music,badminton,vollleyball,chess and many more what u want.u have full te to explore urselfin what u r imterested.

All students must have to reside inside the college hostel which is in the campus.In 1st and 2 nd yr u have to share room with one morw person but rest 2 yrs individual rooms.There are seprate histel for all the years.food is as like as hostel food ,not the best but also not worst.

Its not a chill culture .In 1 semester u have 6 subject ,means 2 class test,1midsem and 1 end sem for each subject.also labs ,viva ,peojects ,files and many more ..but this incresed our potential and we learnt much more and evolved from this process

All the professors are highly qualified but some of them are uncomperable.steel chair prof D mukherjii and vinod kumar ,both are my fav teacher.the way they deliever their lecture and notes is awesome.we can also go to their office whole day and ask problems and discuss on any topics.some of profs do their MS from Us,japan ,iitB etc

Campus location is good but there is shortage of shops.
Professor are good and supportive and you can keep bike sk questions whenever you needed.

Dislikes

Mess food is not so good and if you taking hostel it is compulsory to take mess
Transpotation facility is not so good and you

Placement Experience:

From third semester students are allowed for internship and about the placement is about 5 to 6 lpa .Many students here are preparing for government exam like gate ,ies isro ,barc etc. And if you are not satisfied by placement from campus you can try off campus.

At the starting phase of college , we have a beautiful campus (which is not ours actually , its on rent ) loacted at Namkum, Ranchi. known as JUT campus, but after that things are not good.
Some what I liked the sports culture, but we don't have any sports Club yet.

Dislikes

Placements(actually there are students who are the coordinators for the placement group , there is no any particular advisor or any TPO head is there earlier...now there is one TPO coordinator but things are becoming worst there.
No grounds for any sports, we don't have badminton court indoors, so we have to wait for wind to settle before we can play outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)

Likes

I like their rules and regulation of college.
I like the annual sports, event, and cultural program.
Regular classes, labs, and time to time internal exams

Dislikes

Thing that I don't like is hostal cleaning, mesh food.
I think there is more rules and regulation for senior boys hostels.
From senior boys hostel they pass some comment to the girls

The curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the proper mindset from the class I chose to study btech. The areas for improvement in the course curriculum are more labs to be conducted proper smart classes to be held.

Infrastructure of the University is good enough and also going on for new building
Labs and machineries are updated and in good condition.
Non teaching staffs are helpful and genuine.

Dislikes

Administration make fake promises and discontinue.
Some staffs are egoistic don't think of any one.
Canteen food prices are not affordable. It is too expensive for middle class students.

Good university for those who want degree only not job as they will say 100 percent placement but never make their promises and yes they will also send you in depression so be strong and believe in your self.

Likes

the greenery of college campus is very nice
the environment of the college is very good
college library staffs are very well behaved

Dislikes

the faculty is not up to the mark , u will not be satisfied by their teaching
student intake is very very less so you will experience less competition
the college campus is beautiful yet very small

Placement Experience:

yes campus placement is offered . the average package is about 7 to 8 lakhs in C.S.E , the placement rate is about 90% for which above 7.5 CGPA is required . The placement rate for E.C.E and E.E.E are also decent .

Experience of an undergrad

Likes

college have great environment good facilities needed as per requirements ,college also have good spacious hostels and we can say better food comparing to what i heard from friends of different colleges ,the evening time is soothing and relaxing
a great senior junior interaction culture and memorable friendships letting you forget the world outside the campus, every festivals are celebrated with joy and fun ,from leaving a family to moving to another one you would love.
some of lectures are quite boring but some will amaze you with visionary thoughts ,every faculty will guide you if they see you lagging behind the course ,some extra sessions are also conducted, introducing new fields to think out of the box

Dislikes

things which i wish might get some improvements are sports facilities big grounds for sports activities students encouragement towards co-curricular activitiy, co-curricular activities get more support to come out with glorious and imagining skills.
fests do contain fun but due to time constraints before fests planning of amazing activities becomes difficult thus leading same things going on repeating, absence of good team leaders leading activities plays major role in activity failure and bored
night out time is a small problem, the area close to college is developing hence not having nearby much places for fun and chillouts spending your free time relaxing.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is average as during 2023-24 it was recession period all over the colleges are facing placements lags but still college students managed to achieve 22 lakhs+ off campus as well as 16 lakhs on campus placement.The college reached his highest placement of 51 lakh during 2023 ,the average package is 5-6 lakh and the placements percentage are 85 percent for cse students,the students completing 7th semester are eligible for on campus placement drive as well as off campus,some of the prominent companies visited are Microsoft, cognizant, samsung, byjus,infosys and 50 more.I will prepare for gate and after that i will try to get on and off campus placements which i will find better accept the offer.

I applied for NIT JSR , NIT Patna, BIT Mesra, IIIT Ranchi, some GFTIs and Obviously NIAMT Ranchi in JOSAA. I prefered NIAMT over other GFTIs becuase of its palcements, also i was unable to find any major negative point about this college.
