Remarks

its the best place for people who want to explore opportunities and grow.it will be a perfect place for you guys.not so strict not so loose best place for a UG and PG course with little bit of torture

Entrance Preview

I entered RVCE through CET since it had a very good review as a college and for placements also i was willing to join rvce and kept rvce as a first option in option entry process and got rvce in the first round itself but because of time constraints i went to second round and got admitted through same opted choice.there was interview process as such since i came through govt seat and got admitted through general process. i wanted to choose something different from traditional branches as like civil, mech,cs etc and then found IEM which had the flavor of management and mechanical engineering and opted it because of its diversity and late realized one more option of data analytics through the course because of statistical background in the course which impressed me a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

course curriculum is very well designed according to industrial requirements.there is a little scope about practical learning and there is always a chance for boosting technical ability

Internships Opportunities

yes i got internship in General Electric through the college for around 17k per month on an avg. The college had tie up with different companies one of them was GE which comes every year for internships and gives ppo based on it.they wont come for placements afterwards. The process is shortlisting based on resume and then GD and finally PI and it will be during 3rd year summer holidays after 2 months getting 17k per month.it was really a good offer to choose for.we just have to be confident and rest all will follow.find right opportunities at the right time because internship opportunities are not more from college when compared to college placements.

Placement Experience

4.5

placement is pretty good around 40% are already placed and still one sem is left. major companies like Cypress,EXL,Stellium,Mu sigma,Byjus etc for iem came overall its amzing with Amazon,Cisco, morgans steinly, myntra, uber,Vmware etc

College Events

4.5

fests is not much but 8th mile is the biggest fest which is the second biggest in bengaluru. college very much supports for it around 5k people will visit for it and it will be for 3 days usually with lot of technical, cultural, fun filled and sports events with lot to enjoy and learn with popular ones are mini cricket ,crime time, fashion show ,hackathon etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

it is very much affordable i came through SNQ so it was initially 25500 and 23500 for rest of the years. they took 2 fees as for as the college authorities concerned.they will take fee in 2 challans one for RVCE and one more for RVCE PRICIPAL and hence had to submit it before due date to avoid fines.the fee consists of sports, library,ID etc and for seniors it also includes examination fee which is not the case for juniors. It will change as we move onto next years base don the market.

Fees and Financial Aid

yeah offers scholarship based on merit and category and economic conditions on different scenarios.i didn't get since i was getting outside.

Campus Life

3.5

it depends on individual how well you explore if you are interested you can get tonnes of opportunities in every field

Hostel Facilities

3.5

i am a non hostel lite but hostels are 3 sharing ,2 sharing and single room for 1st, 2nd&3rd, 4th years respectively. i am stayed in pg it was around 70k per year food was very good in BIMS pg

Alumni/Alumna

its reasonably good with few alumni meets here and there and network through pins.com website

Exam Structure

it is a chill since 2 out of 3 scores are considered per subject only i am none day stress

Faculty

4

everyone did masters and most of them were PHD holders. it was very different than college for sure, they have diverse approach and had to become adjust.common factor is interactive approach everyone believes interactive sessions and some are very soft and some are strict some are chill and some are very reactive.so it depends on us to choose different approach with them.teaching wise on an avg is not that great to maintain reputation of college but definitely far better than other colleges as heard by friend during discussions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

From 6th semester we will become eligible for campus placements. Very few companies will visit for chemical engineering those are aslo not core. Highest package offered for a chemical engineering is 600000 I guess this aslo a long back. But dont take a hope on placements here in chemical weapons. Do mainly focus on Gate exam. Get good score go for mtech or apply for good core jobs for interview.
