Likes

I liked the campus and the environment that it provides like during programs there are various artist and everyone enjoys themselves
I also liked that there are many mock interviews and tests which help you to prepare for placements process
The college provides so much exposure as it organises various national level conferences and programs where students who have joined student organisations can contribute it's very good

Dislikes

I think that the students in 1st and 2nd year are under too much pressure due to continuous classes from 9-5 though break of 1 hour is given after every two hour of class the student still gets pretty exhausted at the end of the day

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was very well formed and the most of the faculties were very supportive and helped me throughout my semesters . I always wanted to learn about computers and development always interested me that's why I chose btech in case though it might feel like every individual faculty is incharge of many students they always try to give equal attention to everyone

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 61300 per year

Internships Opportunities

Various companies like juspay , Phillips , Western digital(SanDisk) , nowpurchase, scalar, mount blue visited college this year offering the role of software development Engineer and also picked students.

Placement Experience

There are many companies which visit lpu every year but due to recession the companies this year were a bit low in number even though there was recession LPU placement department still managed to call companies so that students can have a chance one of my classmates got placed in juspay at 27lpa its a huge package considering the market situation also one of my friends is in Phillips doing his internship . At the moment I am also doing an internship at a company in Bangalore .

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various criterias for getting scholarship the most popular one is giving entrance test lpu conducts its own lpu nest which you can give and the score in that exam will make you eligible for scholarship also JEE scores are also considered during scholarship process 12th 10th marks can also provide you a option to avail scholarship according to percentage scored in board exams

Campus Life

Lpu has a huge campus and conducts various programs of popular artists also there are various student organisations which are incharge of such programs which you can join also there are various clubs for dancing,singing where there is an instructor who guides you to learn about activity . The classrooms are also well equipped with furniture as well as electronic items like fans and ACs are present in every class . LPU also has a huge library which has books accross all genres and not just curriculum books

Admission

Admission process was very smooth as the college management was constantly in touch with me during the process and available in case of any queries . The eligibility at the time of my admission was that student should have chosen physics chemistry maths in 12 th class. I got the message from the college itself that the admissions were open and also I had a senior who was already studying there

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Likes

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
