Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course and college because of it good curriculum. I really appreciate it. Quite hectic but fun if you study hard. Faculties are not that good. And we know most of the colleges don't really have good teachers. Although some professors are great but it really depends on your section. In my section, some teachers weren't that good but okayish. About term exams you will have 3 CAs(continuous assessment/class tests) out of which best 2 will be having weightage in cgpa, Except CAs there are mid terms and End terms. They will appear really fast.

Internships Opportunities

Some good companies are providing internships at 20k -50k stipend. As of now I hv a mutual friend who is in 4th yr and has grabbed some good placements with Accenture and I forgot about others but it is very difficult to get

Placement Experience

I am a first year student but I hv heard students re eligible to sit in placements after 5th semester. In LPU the curriculum is good but placements is a question mark. It never gets cleared but 1 one thing I can say it can make you eligible for placements. There are almost 8k students which makes it very hard to get placements. However my plan is to become eligible first.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can get scholarships easily by giving LPUNEST or jee marks or 12th marks. Still it will cost around 12-15 lakhs all total. The hostel fees are based on roomms, if you are availing 4 sitter with AC (which I opted) will cost 80k without mess

Campus Life

The campus life is quite good. There are a lot of happenings in LPU always. Conserts, workshops, and fests happen every now and then. The Library facilities are also good. You can avail any professional sports at Lpu with a small cost of 5k /yr

Hostel Facilities

Rooms in the hostels are quite good. I have availed 4 sitter AC room at 80k/yr and it has attached latrine and bathrooms which is the biggest +point nd wifi facilities are also good. I hv been acvommoded in BH-2 where the food is decent. After some time you might get bored but yes it can follow your stomach.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

There is a exam called LPUNEST. It is quite easy. You can be eligible for scholarship by giving that exam. The only problem is it is really easy for students to get into this college which cause it's huge population and most people really can't crack placements

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
