Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course because of my interest and my previous course subjects. Faculty is average the study plan is like school level make notes ,make assignment etc etc Faculty members are very qualified all have done masters from reputed Indian colleges. Term exams are on correct time and they also have plenty of holidays between exam for preparations and they are easy or tough it will depend on you how you prepare otherwise exams are easy

Internships Opportunities

3

AICTC internships program are running in college they are from government and they are free. Internships are like cybersecurity ,business analytics and virtual cloud internships and projects are also like this

Placement Experience

2.5

Form 3rd year student are eligible for placements The 2nd teir type of companies are visit the campus and the average package is very bad like 3 lpa and 4 lpa Only 15 percent student gets placements. My plans after getting the degree will join the campnies in gurugran for cybersecurity.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure of college is very good compare to other colleges . I doesn't get any scholarship due to my category(like genral or SC) otherwise they provide you 10 percent scholarship if you scored 90 percent or above in 12 board exams

Campus Life

4

There are thousands of festival in college like literally they have fest ,tech fest and many more things everyday it is good but it can take lots of your time which will be used for studies . There are thousands of books in library that is good but the bad part is they never have your book which you demanded and if they have the book they can give you the book only for 14 days not for semester idk ???? why Classrooms are good every class has AC and projectors but sometimes projectors don't work otherwise class is good Yes they have NCC in college if student wants to join They can and also there was sports week in the college in year where they play table tennis and crickets and many more games Ethicraft club

Admission

Anyone 12 pass and minimum 55 percent marks can apply Application forum and any information regarding admission you can find it online for applying the form u need to go to the college Reservation only for SC caste For improvement I want to tell that after admission they don't provide you any information regarding classroom building block and they didn't even add you in any WhatsApp group this should be correct

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Chandigarh Group of Colleges - [CGC] Landran, Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
