What Students Say

Likes

No uniform.Students dont need wear uniform in this college.
Very Close to metro station. The college is walking distance from the metro station. Takes 2 minutes from station to reach college
Gates are open anytime during college hours meaning if someone is late they are allowed to enter the college and one can leave college grounds as per their wish

Dislikes

First year classes are like classrooms in school.
A person cannot leave the class in the middle if they wish to do so.
Attendance policy is a bit strict. A minimum of 75% is needed by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

This Course was the best I could get with my rank and the course provides us to learn from. Each faculty teaches around 60-70 students in one class at a time. The faculty is well educated and most of them have good teaching methods. Our year got a bit late due to some case regarding AKTU which delayed everything incuding our exams but they were i guess on time even after the case. The exams were of medium difficulty if a student studied properly they can get a good grade.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is 1 lakh and Cost to study in this college is pretty good compared to other colleges in the same area. The college allows you to avail UP scholarship, which is pretty important and usefull for less privileged students. The college does stipend funding for some projects for innovation. Top students in the college got 40 LPA jobs this year.

Campus Life

The Library has only the books related to study ,no books availiable for fun reads.First Year classrooms are non-ac the rest are ac classrooms. No smartbooards in any class.Sports promoted are football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, table tennis and chess.Extra curricular activities like acting ,singing ,dancing ,event mangment, poetry are also promoted alot.Coding clubs are competitive. There are alot clubs run by the students. The clubs are divide in 2 sections the rotaract section - these guys majorly promote welfare to society in many ways and the student council clubs-these guys are based on learning competions and fun.

Admission

I took JEE Main Entrance Exam ,got in via AKTU counselling admission process.I got the seat for Computer Science and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence with an 80% percentile in JEE mains.College fees can be found on college website. For application dates, keep up to date with news articles and the college site. I had registered via the AKTU site, yes it the process is a bit tedious but its only a one time work so it doesnt matter very much.Even after seat allocation Admission process inside the college was well a bit tiring. The admission process inside the college was mismanaged and could have gone alot better.I am sure that it will get better after a few years. If there was more staff inside the college for the admission proccess then it could have gotten alot more better. (No reservation availed)

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

What I See at SRM Ghaziabad

Likes

I really appreciated the college clubs and hackathons.
There are variety of events throughout the semester, something to always keep you on your feet.
Some of the faculties are really really experienced and have a unique approach that captures the attention of all the students.

Dislikes

Not many hotspots around campus to hang out after classes.
The infrastructure of the hostel can be improved a lot.
Food in mess is not great, the menu is not very diverse. Everything has aloo.

Placement Experience:

Placements are actually impressive with our college having the highest placement rate among others in the region. We usually achieve ~90% placement. We get opportunities from many large groups, such as Infosys, TCS, JPMC, BNY, Logitech, etc etc The list goes on. The highest package that I saw was of around 1Cr from a company I don't remember their name, but it was based out of SF and was a really great one. Average placement we see is around 12-20LPA packages.

The food may sometimes be not very good.
The campus has less places to spend some free time other than some spots.
Due to small academic hall places may look too crowded.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is really one of the the factors convincing everyone to take admission in SRM ,average package from the college is of around 10,00,000 which is really a very good amount in todays stresfull market.

Galgotias College Brutal Honest Review

I have applied for Bihar State Nalanda college, chandi. It gave me aerospace engineering. I didn't choose that because their course curriculum with their faculties and college culture is not fit for getting placement. I wanted some placement oppurtunities through my college and GCET is suitable for it because of their location and college culture. My admission process of my college is through direct admission as well as UPTAC counselling. Direct admission is for those who have low JEE ranks and outside of UP and are early comers. Counselling is for merit based admission for UP students generally with better JEE ranks than direct admission students....Read More

I have also applied for JIIT Noida, but couldn't able to get CSE branch. However, In greater noida, comparing to other private colleges, GCET is much better option because of its location, fee structure, campus size. Admission process happened through AKTU counselling, also 15% seats researved for direct admission as well. Exams like JEE mains and percentile above 85 is required for CS branch and vary according to course....Read More
