- Food availability,cafe and canteen. Hostel mess with sufficient good foods at affordable rates. Some hostels lack a store to buy essentials. clean environment. Food waste disposal not sure if sufficiently efficient
- Good/hefty case load, ideal for exploring and practicing; but inadequate staffs to teach and manage; but deters the quality of education available. Faculties are stressed due dealing with non-manageable case load and teaching at the same time. So Uu
- Warm amicable people, innumerable patients,yet so humble faculties; Calicut is known to be people with a warm hospitality. Good staffs helpful and courteous. Yet it’s a community, so not devoid of mishaps especially attacks on health-care workers…😓
Dislikes
- Waste management, it’s got thousands of students and staff employees residing in 250acres of land. Yet no proper management of waste. Often finds plastic and non biodegradable wastes burnt in open air😤. Municipal waste cooperation is a failure here.
- Lack of efficiency in appointment of staffs. Some times their capabilities are questionable
- It’s takes forever to implement anything. Be it about passing funds for maintenance or setti up an action plan
Course Curriculum Overview
Humane profession, with good reputation and job opportunity There's evident staff shortage here???? Faculties hold atleast MD postgraduation,however not all are so passionate about their work. It also depends on the department they belong to. Exams are conducted yearly on time, it's fairly easy to pass provided we put required effort
Fees and Financial Aid
?22,000 to ?25,000 annual fee, miscellaneous fees below ?5000; books and stationary separate expenses too. MOMA scholarships and others minority scholarships are available, but not disbursed yet, except for a few SC,ST students...we're tired of waiting for it tbh
Campus Life
Colourful. Satisfying. I miss college and friends during month long study leave. Library not sufficiently resourceful.Only SC/ST UGs are issued books???? Lecture halls available, some good in good condition, others waiting for alumni funds???? Good opportunities for sports. Gym insufficient though esp girls All clubs are active- literature, art,quiz
Admission
Took NEET 2021, got selected through state level counselling, last rank through KEAM was around 280 that year. I was eligible for reservation, but I managed to secure my spot through State merit itself.
