What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure is really good and well maintained
A lot of greenery makes campus environment good
Sanitation and security is really well maintained

Dislikes

Some faculty teachers don't teach really good
Unnecessary pressure to complete various assignments
The mess food is not very good and healthy

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose the course due to my interest in technology and huge scope of computer science in future, faculty is abundant and ratio would be around 70:1, all faculty are qualified enough for their job, there are two exams in each term which are held on schedule and are not much difficult to pass

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities from college are abundant in companies like capegemini and wipro with fine stipend of around 20-25k, though due to competition it is not very easy to crack a internship on campus

Placement Experience

3.5

From 6th semester onwards the students become eligible for campus placements, various companies like Adobe, capegemini, Wipro etc visited and more than 500 offers were made, the highest for on campus placement is 21 LPA and average is 4 LPA, around 70% students get placement on campus, my plan is also to get placement after completing my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees to study is not very high and it is easy to get scholarship, there is financial assistance in many ways like the scholarship on the basis of LPUNEST, on the basis of government exams etc, the campus placement is decent though not very high

Campus Life

3.5

The social life at campus is really fun, there are multiple clubs and various events are held regularly, the library is huge and almost all types of books and journals are available, all classrooms have good furniture and AC, Sports and extra curricular activities are also encouraged

Admission

Entrance exam- LPUNEST and more than 60% in 12th Application form can be found On official website of LPU, application fees: 1000 Application dates: july to September No reservation benefits No improvement required

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
