College Life of SBSC

I opted for bcom hons as i wanted to learn more about commerce field and move forward in it as my carreer proceeds. Qualification of the faculty members is top notch . Most the teachers are Delhi University graduates themselves and have been teaching in this institution for an appreciable amount of time. The term exams were held within a gap time of 1month and the difficulty level was average as the university exams should be.

Companies visited are deliotte, KMPG, and many more. The roles offered under internships are as trainees only so that the students get a chance to experience the kind of work they will be required to perform in those companies with a stipend of 6000 -7000 rupees .

The students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. The companies tha visted the college groundsfor placements were Deloitte, KMPG, Meesho, Zomato, nd many more. The highest package offered was 25 lac per annum by deliotte and the average package offered was 8 lac per annum. 60 percent of the students were placed on college grounds. My plans after getting the degree are not sure as of yet but most probably i will be preparing for higher competitive exams.

The fees structure of the university isquite simple and affordable for it being a government institution.most of the expenses bared by the students are the residential and fooding expenses. The course fees is quite affordable so that students from different financial backgrounds can continue their further studies.

Recently last year Divyotsav a fest for celebrating diwali was conducted in the month of October. Various tech fests and finance events are conducted by the different societies of the college in renowned spokespersons are invited to present their views and give the students some advice for their college life. Renowned teacher Mr. Rajat Arora was invited by the CCGC society of our college. All the important books and required study material is available in the library for all. The classrooms are provided with well maintained furniture and teaching amenities along proper ventilation. Regular touchups are done from time to time . various sports and extra curricular activities are provided for such as cricket, basketball, tennis and volleyball , football and there are college teams made for the same and tournaments are held for intercollege teams. ECell, CCGC, FIS, ComSoc are various societies run by students for students.

I had opted for bcom hons course in all the colleges. The eligibility of the course was commerse stream in class 12th with whatever optional subject opted in class 12th like maths, hindi , etc. I had given CUET exam the application form for which was on samarth.egov.in and the application fees was 1500 rupees. The application dates were available on the website itself. The cut off for different universities was different. The cutoff for Delhi University was 400 /800 in all the 4 subjects opted in entrance exam. I had opted for commerce, english, accounts, economics. There were other subjects available as well like general test, maths, and many other languages. The improvement that can be made in the admission process is to reduce the time consumed in it . It was extremely lengthy process. Other than that all was great
