What Students Say

Likes

The campus is vast and have the beautiful atmosphere to have fun
The faculty are much freindly and resolves any doubt without hesitating
The friendly atmosphere around me. Nobody shows discrimination against us

Dislikes

The hostel mess is a bit disappointment as the food is horrible

Course Curriculum Overview

the faculty are very much friendly who are always ready to solve our doubts within no time. They also show us the path on how to lead our career by giving us the live examples. Their presentation is so good that we can understand within no time if not the ppt's will be sent to us if there's no clarity

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 86400 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee structure here is quite huge but still for this college it is to be worthable. if youve got the first phase then your fee gets reduced to 30% to the original fee. to study a whole year you should spend an amount of rs. 3,00,000 where it includes hostel fee mess fee academics fee and others.

Campus Life

the campus life at LPU is a good thing to talk as we have cultural activities, sports, fest and whatnot. During my semester-1 two major events have held in LPU where a russian DJ gave a bang and coke bharat have made another awesome fest. Talking about the infrastructure, the classrooms are good with no interruptions of projecter etc.

Hostel Facilities

the hostel facilities are kind of okay as there are no proper maintanance here. there are no heaters, there are no proper taps but speaking on the good side there is a geyser which works properly, and the mess food is kind of boring as there will be routine menu for all 7days and the food quality sometimes is worse.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

I took an entrance exam called the LPUNEST which is the only exam to get the admission into the college I passed the exam with a score of 296 out of 400 where I passed in 1st category and to pass this exam we need to get atleast a score of 160 and above

during major events and peak hours the campus become crowded

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is realvent and fairly comprehensive i choose computer science engineering because it covers importnt ares such as programming data structures data base software development and emerging technologies

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
