Pros and Cons of VIT Bhopal University

I choose CSE AIML. Because I wanted to pursue CSE and I am interested in AI and ML. Don't know about faculty student ratio. But there are lot of students, literally a lot! The intake of VITB is very high. 99.9 percent faculties are experienced PHD holders. Not all faculties are good, but majority of them are very good in terms of teaching and guidance. If I talk about term end exams then I recently gave my term end exams, of first year, and it wasn't that difficult. If you study regularly and if your teachers are good then you can score. VITB has relative grading. So you need to score above average if you want 9 points in that subject, otherwise you will get 8 points for that subject if your marks are around class average. Also there are some teachers who would tell you the important topics before exams, so that weak students can also pass the end term exams.

At the end of 3 year, if you are skilled enough, you can try for placements. In 4th year students are preparing only for placements, in most of their time. Well around 600-800 recruiters came in previous years. Even if there was a recession in IT sector in 2023, most of the students got placced till now. Highest avg package would be 75lpa, and average is like 8lpa. 96 percent of the student get placed I guess. VITB doest leave the students until they get a job. My plans after getting degree: Well I am sorry to say but I can't expose my personal plans.

The tution fee is okay. Like it's 2 lakhs per year, if you got the scholarship of first category. Otherwise the fee gets 3 lakh per anum if it's category 2. These scholarships depend on your VITEEE rank. And then if you opt for hostel, then you will need additional 1.5 lakhs in the start. But the hostel fee will be lesser in upcoming years because when you take admission, 10 thousand rupees for admission, and 15 thousand caution fee is included in your hostel fee.

The annual fest is ADVITYA. It's a very amazing annual fest. Last time they called Shirley Sheiti, bollywood singer. There are so many events, so many things to do in ADVITYA. This annual fest is conducted in the February month, for most of the time. There are a lot of books in library. But still I feel like there could be more books. For college which is this big and has this many students it could have a better library. According to me library is not good at all. If I talk about amenities in classroom, then class rooms are spacious, and are designed to have interactive study. There are projectors and wifi in every single room. There is white board as well. There are studio rooms, lab rooms etc. There is a separate building, called as Lab Complex for practicals and laboratory work, it looks beautiful. You will get opportunities for extra curricular activities but still sports facilities are not good. There are lot of groups on telegram and whatsapp, and even discord server of VIT b

In case of bunk bed (In premium block): You will get a table, a small almirah, a bunk bed, a chair, and two electric sockets near your table. In case of bunk bed (In normal block): You will get everything mentioned above. But you might get extra shelves and cupboards, and they will give an attached table lamp too. In case of three bedded and two bedded: You will get a normal bed, a chair, a table, drawer under bed, drawer under table, and bigger almirah. MEAL QUALITY: MEAL quality is good. Meal is actually very good in MAYURI PREMIUM MESS. Non veg is better in MAYURI as compared to Veg. CRCL MESS for NORMAL BLOCK is the worst. You will fill a preference list. And your hostels will be alloted on basis of your VITEEE rank.
