Course Curriculum Overview

4

I took this course as i was interested in technology and web dev from my teenage years. The faculty to student ration is good. Each class has 70 students and the class timings are diverse so the faculty can easily manage. The faculty are mostly assistant professors who have done masters and are currently pursuing PHD from LPU itself. The exams happen exactly on time according to the cademic calendar released in the start of each semester and are fairly easy to pass as the questions are in MCQ format.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 6th sem, you are eligible for campus placements. You have to pay 16,000 to be able to sit on the college placements and get placement training. Mostly visited companies are tcs, Wipro, Accenture, cognizant etc. Highest package record is of 3 crores and average is 6lpa. 95% students get placed as most of the students get placed in mass recruitment companies. I will try to get placed from campus itself and get a good job and work there. After a few years, l will look into doing MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee remains constant as it was at time of a students admission. All students are to give LPUNEST exam which is easy to pass. You can get 10-50% scholarship with this exam. Financial assistance is also provided to students getting good ranks in JEE as well. State Board Toppers are also given financial assistance. Regarding sports quota, if you have won any medal on national level, your whole education and hostel fees is exempted. You can also work part time in campus itself in admission division or library. You also get duty leaves for these.

Campus Life

4.5

The biggest fest in LPU is OneIndia conducted in March. Goes on for 3 days and is a really fun fest. The library is very vast with books of all courses, fictions and non-fictions. In classrooms, teach teach through projectors and AC is available in each classroom which are well lit. LPU really supports sports activities in campus. Even players from other states and countries come to play tournaments in Lpu. There are lots of clubs in Lpu. You can join any according to your interest be it dance, singing, chess, programing, debate etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

In the hostels, you get a table, a chair, a cupboard each, and a bed. There are AC rooms available, in rooms not having ac, cooler is there. All rooms have geyser installed as well. Meal is not that good but the quality is good, like the quality of materials and hygiene is good enough. The menu is very diverse, you eat different meals at all times on all days including north, south, Rajasthani etc meals. All the registration for these can be done online smoothly no need to go anywhere.

Admission

•Eligibility is 60% above in boards. •You take LPUNEST exam for admission and scholarship is provided based on it. •All the info about the application form, fees and dates are mentioned in the LPU official website lpu.in •I didn't take any reservation benefits • The admission process is really smooth and you can give all details, payments and documents online.

The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
