Likes

Social life here is very good. No ragging.
Veg food and restraurants in lpu is very good.
Cleaniness is there , electricity is 24/7.

Dislikes

Climate is very humid in summers its almost hotter than south india and coldness is also extreme like dharamshala.
Teachers are well behaved but the staffs are rude sometimes.
Campus is too big so you have to walk very much.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is quite tough and in the 1st sem we study calculus maths which i think is not related to any computer sub and also we started our coding journey with python which i think we should have started with c lang.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 144000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships are there in this college but the problem is its less in number. You can do internship by yourself as a paid intern. Companies like infosys tcs delloite will give internships mostly here. So good luck because its tough to get internships here.

Placement Experience

Placements are very good if you study but if you study average then you need to work very hard to grab a good placement.90 percent of student get placed. But the placements are mostly average.my plan is to become a full stack web developer.

Fees and Financial Aid

The academic fee structure remains same for the whole program but the residential fees may change and also they can change the mess fees, also the residential fees are little high compared to the room they gave.

Campus Life

Here the public is very diverse so there are various clubs here you can join any club if you want to. Its very easy to make friends here. There are several events throughout the year which you can attend for free , each event is bigger than any annual fest.

Hostel Facilities

The registration for hostel begins as soon as you have taken admission in the college , after admission you can access the college website that is ums from there you can avail the residential facility. Also the rooms are not upto the mark and the meal quality is also average.

Hostel Fee: INR 140000 per year

Admission

The process started with me giving a lpunest exam and the entrance test was proctured. The test was good and the cutoff was 130/400 I scored 320,the scholarship was of 48000 and after that the admission process was very easy almost in 5 mins.

lively campus nights and a fun student life at chandigarh university

Likes

my overall experience at the college has been good so far
the faculty members are generally helpful
campus life is active with various cultural and technologies events

Dislikes

one thing i feel can be improved is the amount of pratical and industry oriented learning
some claases can be more theroy oriented so more hands on activities and pratical sessions would be beneficial
during major events and peak hours the campus become crowded

the course curriculum is realvent and fairly comprehensive i choose computer science engineering because it covers importnt ares such as programming data structures data base software development and emerging technologies

A Balaced College Experience With Great Campus Life

Likes

i like everthing about the college.
i like the supportive faculty behaviour.
the college also provide placement guidance.

Dislikes

Some areas could be improved especially the placement.
A few courses felt more theory focused than industry oriented.
Student enagement oppourtunities would make campus life better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course around 5 . i choose the courser because it provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and paractical concepts relevant to my career goals as well.

A Great College Experience with Learning, Growth and Opportunities

Good campus infrastructure and modern facilities for students.
Supportive faculty and a good learning environment.

Dislikes

Some administrative processes can take more time than expected.
The campus can be crowded during peak hours.
Hostel and mess facilities could be improved further.

i liked the campus of this college very much
placement is very average not all get placed
food is great so many food outlets is there

Dislikes

they want fees for every single fest and things
exam fees is also there which should not be there
lecture schedule is very bad feels like 9 to 5 job

Placement Experience:

Companies do come in this college for placement and averge package is 500000 so student get placement opportunites from 6th sem onwards , and no. of offers made is 5000 last year placement ratio is also good.

Chandigarh university , but for real

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

campus life and social interactionn : the campus is large and active with many clubs events hackathons and activities students get good opportunities to meet people from different backgrounds and participate iin extrracurricular activities.
faculty and teaching: faculty is experienced and mixed Some teachers have good subject knowledge and are supportive while teaching quality can vary between subjects.
placement and career support: the university provides opportunities and conducts recruitment for drives forn students.

Placement Experience:

IN our college students get placement form 3rd year onwards that is from 6th sem like university provides the students to sit in the placements and many good companies visit like amazon googler infosys tcs and all big recruiters and the highest package is upto 55lacks and ath average package of CSE id 8 to 9 lacks per annum and the placement rate is upto 100 percent.

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
