- Thing I like in the college is fees .Fees of the college is very less as compared to other college
- We dont have travel for end sems exams unlike other affiliated college student .
Dislikes
- Un able to make decision .College staff is very rigid , And the decision they make gets changed again and again.There is no rigid decision taken which leads to lot of confusion
- Forced to attend classes even if teacher is not showing any intrest to teach. Attendance criteria is very rigid .Many faculties lack in basic knowledge.And all the good faculties leave the college and join NIT jalandhar
- No competitive environment. College not at all promotes any competitive environment staff is just doing there work by creating unnecessary chaos among the students
Course Curriculum Overview
I was assured by the college staff that we will be provided latest techonolgy to train with.Though it is far from the reality .Here college faculty focuses on more theory bases knowlege rather than practical knowlege.I was asked to cramp up the defination rather than implement concept in coding. Lab teacher doesnt seems to have good knowlege as per the requirment for Btech-cse course. Faculty should focus on more implementing concepts in coding and should promote competion within the class regarding the course. Exam frequency is good 2 time Mid semester exam with one month gap and 1 end sem exam at final stage of sem, though the exam doesnt foucs on critical based thinking . There also few faculties who are intrested teaching but due to rigid curiculum they cannot use there knowlge to guide us.
Placement Experience
Campus placement int the college is below avg.Though there is no rigid data about the placement but avg placement is somewhre aroung 3lpa and ratio in campus placement is less. Although I wll apply for campus placement but my preferce is off campus placement and also there not at all internship oppurtuniteis provoided by the college .
Fees and Financial Aid
Though fees structure is pretty affordable for me. We asked about 44k per semester for tution fee and 13000 per sem hostel fees.But there is serious problem regading fees increment policy .Last year when we were taking admission we were asked to pay 10000 for hostel per anum .But suddenly after one 1 year they increased feee to 13000 per sem. examination fee is 3000 per sem. Scholarship is only for people living in punjab and belong from back ward classes.Campus employment is below avg some wehre around 3 lpa , aslo hiring rate is v.low
Campus Life
Though there isnt much fest happining the college. But if personally attended 2 fest in the college which is pretty fine .I mean in technical west there is no such promotion of technology rather than children sell there food items only .Some faculties teaches us with smart board which makes our study much more efficient. There isn't much clubs here but only one good active club i have observed which gdsc which is run by student
Hostel Facilities
Hosltel facilites are not so good .Care taker are not so friendly to the students in some cases.Regular cleaning is done in the hostel,Though. Everytime we face an issue It will take many weeks or forever to resolve . Here due to locality of college there isnt much pg or room availble near the college.The only reason i am living in hostel is due to financial contraint though they dobuled the hostel fees without prior info .
Admission
Admission process was pretty efficient,as if they were ready take you in the college.I did not took any entrance exam .Simply I was asked to pay admission fees .I was asked to provide 10th reuslt and 12th result,along with the essential documents like aadhar card, pan card.Althoug while taking admission I face communication gap , reception was not attending phone calls and email queries.After taking admission I faced problem regarding hostel registration .
