GOOD and BAD Aspects of IKGPTU

From my childhood i was very fascinated with technology , thus this fascination beacme my specific reason to opt for this course. After a brief search about the curriculum of the unversity i decided that it was best and also mostly because it was cost effective. Our Universities accadamic curriculum tries its best not to burden the students. Our curriculum was carefully designed by weleducated and hightly qualified teacher and other individuals. In case of areas for improvement I would say that most of the teaching faculty here is guest faculty but regardless of that the department heads all are very helpfull and kind individuals. Exams are conducted semester wise each semester is aproximately 6 months long in those six months, two mid semester tests are held. The exams are set in such a way such that even if a student has studied for it he or she can easily score in their examination but in order to score maximum in the examination the student might have to work real hard

After 6 semester Student are eligible for campusplacements Companies like infosys techmahindra vipro etx visited our campus The highest package was about 20lpa and average is about 3.5 to 4 lpa Unfornately the percenatage of students getting placements is below average in our campus I plan to persue for masters in my current degree aboard

In our university tution fee doesn't increases i.e. the fee you paid during first year would reamain same through out the course thus proving to be very cost effective The complete cost of my course in our university would be about 5lakh(cost of whole course) Our university provides the student with various scholorship scheme. Such as a scheme for punjab resident student who have scored 80%and above in 10+2 boards and many other scholorship schemes.

The university with the help of the students organise various educational and fun fests. Current month (FEB 2024) only we had two fest organised by the University and students namely INCUBO and E-Week Our university provides us with a beautifully built Library. The library is well-maintained and consists of all sorts of books for the student and faculty use Each classroom is well-maintained and has proper ventilation system with multiple air conditioners , smart boards and comfortable seats installed. Sports and extracurricular activities are also well supported by the university. Basket ball ground badminton court tennis court football ground wrestling court cricket court etc all are provided with the campus Yes ther also exist various clubs in our university . The university also support and promotes various club activities too

The hostel rooms are wellbuilt and maintained. Private washrooms are provided in each room. Meal quality , in my personal oppinion i would say it is above my expectation. Being a co-operative mess the menu is designed my the mess committee. For info about hostel Registration process please reffer to www.ptu.ac.in .Talking about affordability in my personal oppinion our hostel have proven to be very cost effective Since i m a hostler i m unaware of nearby PGs or rentable rooms

The admission process was overall a seemless experience. I was admitted into the college on the bases of online counselling. It was all a quick and easy process. Being a cost friendly university I was afraid of it all of being a big scam but i feel that my hardwork was proved to be fruitful. To be elligeble for the course (btech cse) students are needed of about 80 and above percentage in their 12th boards. In case if any student need to apply for online counselling they can make use of the official university website www,ptu.ac.in. YES, our university also provides the students with various reservation benefit schemes such as scholorship scheme for the students who qualified 10+2 boards with 80% and above(eligeble only for punjab residents) Exams are conducted semester wise in each semester there are two mid sem tests which are considered in internal marking. And then comes the final semester test. Certainly there also exists some gray areas in our university such as the sports
