All you need to know about LPU

The course of CSE at LPU is the most chosen one by the students and it does not surprise me as the curriculum is updated and programming languages are taught right from sem 1 to help students have a better grip on the subject. Various softwares are used to teach the students and exams are conducted on a regular basis regarding the same. The exam difficulty is moderate with negative marking in a few class assessments (if conducted online in the classroom) and in every exam of mid and end sem. The dates of class assessment is decided by the professor however a date sheet in the university's app will reflect when it comes to mids/ends or a regular assessment of any coding subject which are held online. The course can get hectic but the deadlines are not very tight which makes it fairly easier to cope up.

LPU offers specialization courses such as CSE with Data engineering, AI, cloud and so on which can be checked on lpu's cse webpage. The specialization courses are in collaboration with companies such as google, kalvium, ibm and so on which help the students to bag internships, however core cse students too go for a lot of internships and 98.5% students who got an internship were offered one with stipend. The highest stipend received according the university's placement website was 1.6 lakhs (per month).

The campus placements at LPU are good with the average package of 6.35 lakhs (cse) as of last year and a lot of students go for placements from 6th sem itself(cse). The average package of the top 10% students is 18.35 lakhs (cse 2022, this varies every year) and you can check these details on lpu's placement website. Around 500 recruiters hired cse students in 2022 and several of them made dream offers (5lpa ctc and above). The highest package was 64 lakhs offered by google. Overall, the placements at lpu are good as the college provides many opportunities to enhance your CV and prepare you for interviews. A lot of recruiters hire from the uni making the student have several options for their placements

The tution fee for the class of 2027(joined in 2023) is 1,20,000 per sem but based on your lpunest marks or the other accepted examination marks, a student is most likely to be offered a scholarship which again varies on your marks. The course fees for 2024 has been increased to 1,40,000 per sem which makes the fees 98,000 per sem(after maximum scholarship). An additional. The campus has a university mall of around 6 floors and a lot of job opportunities (academic and non academic) are provided and they can be checked by the student on the UMS(university management system).

As soon as one will join the university, you will find that the campus is very happening as there are events happening around the campus which include concerts, bike shows, car shows, esports, standup and a lot more events which keeps the student engaged considering a lot of them will miss their homes after joining the hostel. Coming to academic events, there are guest lectures, rc car racing where students build the cars and race them, 24hr hackathons, workshops and twice a year races in the campus where the students build and drive the cars. There are inter hostel events and athletic meets too. Tech and non tech fests are held in the campus too. The infrastructure of the college is top notch with the campus being 600 acres, we have a mall, two well maintained auditoriums, a well equiped hospital with 24/7 ambulances and services, every classroom has an ac, projector and fans, a library of 6 floors with every book any course will require. Overall the student life at LPU is amazing.

LPU has two residential services, hostels and apartments. The difference is that every room in apartment has an AC, whereas in hostel you can choose between AC or non ac(the non ac rooms have a water cooler installed). Apartments have a dedicated kitchen area too whereas hostel rooms don't. Hostels have a canteen in the building whereas apartment doesn't. The mess quality is good and there are no problems with the food and sick students can apply for packed sick food too. If there's a problem with the food, you can provide the feedback on the university's app LPU Touch. The prices of hostel differ with single seater being the highest and 6 seater being the lowest. The university provides dormitory rooms too, however if a student does not like the room, one can apply for hostel change once the portal opens.

Firstly, you have to fill out the form to write out LPUNEST and then you'll be asked to list out your preferred couses in a ranked order. After that you'll be provided with your exam centre and the time slot to arrive. The exam's difficulty level is easy to moderate, depending on the candidate. The college has many ways to claim a seat (JEE,LPUNEST,CUET etc). The exam's fee is 500 (1000 for the hardcopy of lpunest kit) for girls and 1000 for boys(1500 for the hardcopy of lpunest kit). The result takes around 10 days and you'll be sent your result sheet and shortly after your alloted course. There are no reservation in the university. Exams are held round the year in the uni with the difficulty ranking different from subject to subject and the syllabus.
