Likes

Good coding culture and peaceful environments
No state reservation therefore great platform to interact and know people from various places and culture
More number of clubs and no limitation in intake that is a person can join any number of clubs

Dislikes

Food is very bad and we cant even drop from the mess
Campus size very small and very far from the town
Strict academic and attendance rules also high fees

Course Curriculum Overview

The course and curriculum is comparatuvely very good as it focusess more on the industry related and trending aspects. And the curriculum follows IIIT Hyderabad curriculum which is one of the top insititutes of India.

Internships Opportunities

Im still a fresher hence dont have an first hand knowledge on this field. But students from other colleges come to do internship here and many seniors have gone to to do it too and have got permanent placement in companies

Placement Experience

MPlacements are comparatively good but not that noteworthy. Last year 2022 all the students were placed but their strength was only little this year the intake is more so I am still unsure about it. Highest package was 5000000 and average package of 1400000

Fees and Financial Aid

Since this college comes under PPP section that is Public Private Partnership even though its a gov institute fees is extremely high in my opinion. Fees for per sem is around 180000 including mess and hostel therefore while comepleting the course it would cost around 15Lakhs. There are loan options available from various banks since the collage comes under institute of national importance bank provides the loan without the need for collateral.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is good but the campus soze is extremely small leaving no room for exploring. There are various tech clubs and non tech which are active . Library and sports facility are also veru small but the campus is still undergoing development works so hopefully that condition will improve

Hostel Facilities

Students have to live in the hostel provided we cannot rent or live outside the campus. Every student who got admission to the college will ve provided hostel facility and it is near the academic building too. And the FOOD IS SHIT. Its actually so bad considering we are paying such high fees

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

Admission only through Jee examintion percentile. You can find the admission and application details in the official site of jee nta. There are reservation benefits such as fees reduction etc for reservation classes. JEE Main exam will be conducted twice a year and exam is difficult as it is an elimination exam and selects 2L for Jee advanced however to get admisto IIIT you don't need to qualify advanced.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
