Remarks

College is one of the finest engineering colleges in India. It gives you decent placement, good atmosphere to learn and develops you in true sense. I personally recommend COEP to all students.

Entrance Preview

I had appeared for MHT-CET exam in 2011 and scored 194/200 marks. I was interested in Mechanical branch and COEP is the best suited college for this branch.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

COEP is an autonomous institute. So it has a little different course curriculum compared to pune university engineering colleges. This course is customized considering changing needs of industries. This gives additional benefit to COEP students.

Internships Opportunities

In summer of second and third year of engineering, companies come in college to offer summer internships. The companies include Mercedes, Eaton, Thermax, Alfa Laval, Premier. They also give good stipend to students of around 4k to 8k per month.

Placement Experience

5

COEP placement scenario is quite good. Almost 70-80% students get placed in companies. Apart from core companies like mercedes, ford, hyundai, alfa-lava, tata motors, tata steel, mass companies infosys, wipro, congizant also offer jobs to students. Average package of mass comapnies is around 3.25 to 4 lacs and for core, it is around 4 to 5.5 lacs.

College Events

4.5

College organizes large number of festivals every year. Mind-spark is technical festival organized every year which is attended by students from all over maharastra. Zest is a sports festival organized in January. College has river bank on one side. Regatta is an annual boat festival which is unique festival of college. Apart from this, various national and international conferences, technical exhibitions and talks are held by college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Hostel is at 10-15 minute walk from college campus. It is quite good. Girls have a separate 11 story building. Boys hostel campus contains around 8 buildings. Hostel condition is good. There is problem of bed bugs in some hostel blocks. There are five mess available in hostel campus apart from canteen. Mess food quality and variety are good. The fee of hostel and mess changes every year but it is affordable for sure.

Fees and Financial Aid

Various scholarships are available for students in COEP. Some of them are provided by COEP Alumni. Companies like premier also provide scholarships to some of the students. Also there are different foundations which provide scholarship. Loan facility is available in college. SBI bank is situated in collgeSS which provides loan with a little formalities.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is good. Gender ratio is 60:40 in male favour. Various extracurricular and co curricular activities are held in college. College teams participate in chess, hockey, cricket, badminton, table tennis, waterpolo, basketball, etc, tournaments at university level. College has a club ' Robot study Circle' which is involved in robotics domain. College team also participate in technical competitions like Robocon, BAHA, Supra.

Alumni/Alumna

There is Alumni association in college. Alumni network is quite good. Alumni working different industries stay connected with college and help students as well as administration. Alumni association also provides scholarships to students in college.

Faculty

4

Faculty is well qualified and expert in their respective domains.

Placement Experience:

Placement at GH Raisoni College Of Engineering and Management are moderate, especially for CSE/AI Student . Students become eligible from the 7th sem. companies like TCS, Infosys, and WIPro visit the campus. The higher package goes upto around 8-10 LPA, and the average Package is 3-4 LPA. Around 60-75% of students get placed. After graduation, i plan to work in software/AI roles and improve my skills through internship and Certifications.

Placement Experience:

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:20, and most teachers are quite approachable if you meet them during their free slots. I really appreciate the senior professors in the core departments because they have deep subject knowledge and explain concepts practically. However, some newer faculty members tend to stick strictly to the textbook or slides, which makes the lectures a bit dry. Since the college follows the SPPU pattern. I chose this course after a long CAP round process. Initially, I was aiming for VIT or DY Patil in Pune, and even checked out colleges in Mumbai and MVP KBTCOE in Nashik, but I ultimately landed here at AISSMS. The curriculum is quite comprehensive for building a strong engineering foundation, though I feel it could include more industry-relevant tools and coding workshops.

Placement Experience:

The placments are overall moderately good especially if you are from electrical branches including Electrical , Electronics, Computer, and Instrumentation Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. From third year onwards internship season starts where companies visits our campus and students need to go through online tests and series of interviews for each companies to get offer where the students selected for offer need to attend the internship after the end of third year in may and june when college have holidays. Similarly Based on performance the interns may get full time offer as well. Full Time Placement starts in final year and the process is exactly same where the interviews are mostly online and the students placed gets the offer letter. Almost 90 - 95% of the students especially of above branches gets placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So the Computer Engineering is all about core subjects which are really helpful for future like cloud, iot and Database etc But the syllabus of the university change after every 4 years and there is nothing but removing one subject and add another similar subject but I think in era of Ai and automation the syllabus is sort of outdated like if you are getting in Second year you have to learn subject which you have not interested in so you have to learn those subjects anyway and if you want to learn more about new skills you have to do it by yourself.
