Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum of LPU Btech CSE is very thorough and in depth. the semester starts with programming languages such Python, HTML CSS Js etc and has projects on these languages as final assignments. The curriculum is mid tier industry relevant. Exams are held in December and May as well as internal exams are held twice.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 134000 per year

Internships Opportunities

LPU provides many internships with valuable companies and even internships while studying in second year onwards. The university is very supportive for gaining internships and experience and has a good placement cell. I have not acquired internship yet.

Placement Experience

LPU has good placement assistance. The average package was 7 lakhs and the top package was for mr siraj about 3 Crores. MNC like Google does hire from the uni but only top skilled students get in. The university also provides options like practical study while working for companies with pay.

Fees and Financial Aid

The main scholarship available at LPU is based on LPUNEST / JEE / 12th score cut-offs, it can range anywhere between 10% to 50% off on tuition fee and i had availed 40% off with a NEST score of 350/400. My annual fee was around 1.5 lakhs and total 6 lakhs. The campus has link with many companies and does provide internships and campus employment. i have applied for work in library.

Campus Life

4.5

LPU has a multitude of student clubs and they are very much active. From arts to skating, they have clubs for everything. On the technical side, they have Geeksforgeeks and much more tech student clubs and organizations. The college is very much lively and there are events on a weekly basis. We are offered many special trainings etc as well as there are indoor and outdoor grounds and boxing ring, gym etc inside campus.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are divided into Dorms and Apartments, then subdivide into AC & non AC , further divided into 4 to single person rooms and the fee increases with facilities like less roomies and AC etc. Both north and south menu is provided with 3 Or time meal plans. Pgs are available in Lawgate or Phagwara.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

The admission proecedure to Lovely professional university is through LPUNEST exam / JEE score / CUET score etc. The eligibility is based on certain cut-offs which is fixed but you can avail scholarships based on cut-offs which will vary along with time. LPUNEST is close to JEE level exam. Application can be done through LPU official website and regional recruiters. The semester starts in August and exams are in December and May. Difficulty level is moderate.

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
