LPU- Pros and Cons

Talking about the Curriculum, so in LPU , computer science and engineering specially has good placement ratio. The curriculum involves real world projects, PEP classes to get ready for placement, mock interviews and all. Area of improvement would be the students crowd as a lot of students are there in each section of CSE. They take CAs, mid terms, and end terms. CAs could be taken less frequently.

Placement is decent in case of Computer science and engineering. Companies start visiting from 6th semester itself. There is some CGPA and arrears criteria followed. They get you good companies in the starting and also in between. You get 6 months, one year internship and you get OJT( on job training) from the university. They bring companies staring from 4 LPA to 35 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is not that great but it's okayish. One can is there that if you don't like the company you have to Cancel your OJT and then you have to report to university and committee decides the rest.. even if you obtain another offer from outside. My plans after getting the degree is to switch to a better company where growth is there.

So, tuition fee most of the time is affordable as you get scholarship based on your marks and performance. Also, the examination fee is 2500 per semester. It costed me around 7 lacs excluding hostel as I was staying outside. They give you scholarship based on your sports background and all. Campus employments are there in DSW(Division and Student Welfare). You can work there part time.

There are many fests going around in LPU, organised by the students organisation most of the time. You can join club of your choice there. There are many clubs like Bhangra club, art club, literary club etc. in DSW. There are two annual fest One India and One world which represents the diversity. Many celebrities are invited by Student Organisations. There are concerts and all going on. Hackathon, marathon everything. One can get a good exposure. They provide you many opportunities.

The admission process was very smooth, you can apply online on the website itself and then you don't have to pay the whole amount during registration. Before commencement of the classes you need to clear the amount. Also you can give lpu nest exam for scholarship and based on your 10th and 12th marks also, you get the scholarship upto 35 percent on the total fee. They call you and explain the whole process, regarding credit transfer, hostels and everything. Area of improvement would be the call frequency.
