What Students Say

Likes

I like my college very much. I had got so many good friends. I gained more knowledge..
I have been in extra curricular activities which leads me to know unknown things
I have been a organiser of manavar mandram in which we conducted so many inauguration which I gained more knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview

There are plenty of courses in PSGCAS. We can decide our own course and curriculum. The faculties are there to help students. Punctuality is maintained properly in PSGCAS. Without I'd card students cannot enter the college. They teach the students in a advanced manner which will help them to gain more knowledge.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees are very much equal compared to government college. Many scholarships are available which will be helpful to the students. I too got scholarship of 4000 every 3 years. There are many opportunities to get placed in a reputed company. Campus employment training classes were conducted so that students can get placed in a good company.

Campus Life

There are more than 40 clubs in PSGCAS. I had joined in thinkers association nila mutram. Every student can join any club. These clubs and forum will help students to gain more extra knowledge. There are sports too which students played in national level. Campus is very peaceful with full of trees and plants.

Admission

The admission process in PSGCAS is very good and in a planned manner.. Many students will apply for PSGCAS. They were given the plampet of courses to the public which helps students to decide their future. The security guards are there every where to help public. For each and every courses, the management had alloted separate room in that room faculties are there to explain about the courses and admission will happen there. We can decide our future in a correct manner.

Nit Trichy B.Sc. B.ed. student review

girls to boys ratio is 1:1 is we consider all three branches with some courses with more male while other having for female.more or less the ratio is near 1:1
the most important thing for you is there is close to zero discrimination for you , whether you want to join any club or perform anything you are equivalent to students with others bachelor degree
octagon and library are the two things which are good as library is considered the biggest library among all nit's while octagon having 800 computers for students.NSO ground is also well maintained with the beautiful mig fighter jet to take cool phot

Dislikes

for first years hostel are well maintained if compared with others but don't expect much from hostel atlast this is a government college.in first year 3 to 4 person sharing room are there which was build to carry 2 person.
Quant and entrepreneur thing is not there as you might expect by seeing the nirf 9 ranking but it is not zero .they are growing clubs like profNITT and Sigma are young and they could do better
curfew timing for girls are 9 or 9:30 pm i guess be it any year. for boys ,only freshers have curfew with timing 9:30 pm.other than that any student can't step outside the college after 10 pm without the sign out form.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.
