Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Computer course are good and teachers are good too but the subject are not really that good as the teacher teaches them from ppt like we learn maths from ppt and its really hard. The teachers are qualified to teach us and they also clear our doubts There is competition too and they are many things to do there

Internships Opportunities

4

Different opportunities are provided under internship offers with an average stipend of 3 to 4 lacs and some occasional offers upto 8 lacs. Projects are of all types from basic website projects to some of the most advanced hackers that work for the government of India.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement is decent in case of Computer science and engineering. Companies start visiting from 6th semester itself. There is some CGPA and arrears criteria followed. They get you good companies in the starting and also in between. You get 6 months, one year internship and you get OJT( on job training) from the university. They bring companies staring from 4 LPA to 35 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is not that great but it's okayish. One con is there that if you don't like the company you have to Cancel your OJT and then you have to report to university and committee decides the rest.. even if you obtain another offer from outside. My plans after getting the degree is to switch to a better company where growth is there.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions It's around 8 lacs for 4yrs i.e 2 lacs/yr. People scoring good LPUNEST ranks will get a lot scholarship benefits. Campus employment is also very good. It's a bit pricey but the overall experience will be smooth enough and you will get a very nice campus enclosure and experience.

Campus Life

3.5

Lpu has a large campus with state-of-the-art amentities. Hostels offer mess services, laundry, parking.Lpu has a vibrant campus community with a diverse group of students. There are many fests going around in LPU, organised by the students organisation most of the time. You can join club of your choice there. There are many clubs like Bhangra club, art club, literary club etc. in DSW. There are two annual fest One India and One world which represents the diversity. Many celebrities are invited by Student Organisations. There are concerts and all going on. Hackathon, marathon everything. One can get a good exposure. They provide you many opportunities.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are pretty good and the registration process easy as admission way. There are dormitory,5 seater,4 seater,3 seater,2 seater and 1 seater rooms with AC and non AC.The hostels are a bit expensive. I have taken a 4 seater non-AC room and the facilities are really good like 24 hrs WIFI and cleanliness is also maintained in the hostels. The rooms are cleaned 3 times in a week. Regarding the mess, we are provided with a lot of packages like the 2 meal course, 3 meal course, north indian, south indian, rajasthani etc the electricity is also free upto a limited units like for me it is 500 units.

Admission

I took lpu nest and it was a good paper as it provides scholarship and I got some scholarship The timing for exams were flexible and was in online format. The admission process was also smooth and the good adminstration office Buildings were clean and well maintained Most of my family members are from here too

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
