What Students Say

Likes

Staffs lecture infrastructure their teaching
Good food very hygiene clean neat places
Very healthy food and place is very clean

Dislikes

Nothing to hate in this college all are best

Course Curriculum Overview

Hey there! When it comes to the course curriculum, I'd say the specific aspects that really drew me in were the practical real-world applications it offers. It's great when a curriculum can bridge the gap between theory and actual practice. As for improvements, I think having more interactive teaching methods could make the learning experience even better. And when it comes to exams, I feel like having a balance in the frequency and difficulty level keeps things challenging yet manageable.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Hey! When it comes to the fee structure, the tuition fee increase policy usually happens annually, and the rate can vary. The overall cost of education includes tuition, service fees, and other mandatory charges that add up. As for scholarships and financial aid, there are various options available for students, like merit-based scholarships, need-based aid, and even work-study programs on campus. These opportunities can really help ease the financial burden.

Campus Life

when it comes to campus life, it's all about finding your tribe and getting involved in activities that interest you. The annual festivals like the cultural fest in March and the technical fest in October are always a blast! The library usually has a wide range of books and journals, and the classrooms are equipped with modern facilities and technology to enhance learning. As for extracurricular activities, there are plenty of sports teams and clubs to join, which is a great way to meet new people and have fun outside of classes.

Admission

In college portal we can see all the benefits of course and eligibility and we can find in that portal itself and fill the application form and all the course are the best in this college and infrastructure is good

The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.

THE IDEAL COLLEGE LIFE!

Likes

The opportunities to meet new people and interact with a whole new circle of people by Club Activities as there are quite a lot of clubs according to the student's interest.
Many places to showcase our singing and dancing talent once we join the club or take part in any of the department events.
They have multiple labs for a single department so that the students get a lot of hands on training for coding and as well as hardware.

Dislikes

4:3 Ratio of Girls to Boys in my class and i hope it's the same for all the departments as well.
The college timing can go from 8:30 AM to 5:10PM.
The 75% attendance is kind of doable and maintainable to an extent.

Placement Experience:

about 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed afdter the colleg and the ones not placed also gets placed after the college with high network and communication from other contacts within the college, ZOHO Corp does take placements and i am preparing for my CAT exams as i am planning for My highers at IIM, 5th semester is when the students become eligible for the campus placements and the seniors are a good connection who help to get places and get a job after the completion of degree.
