- The university for starters has a huge campus and almost every facility in it including uni hospital and even a whole mall in it. There are even different brands and shops in the university which one can enjoy after class with a good company.
Dislikes
- The university is more strict than it needs to be. things such as marking indiscipline, major cases, minor cases, UMC: literally cancelling someone's scholarship is too much according to me and does not make much sense.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good overall. We have applications to study technical subjects thoroughly (which other colleges don't) but these apps have a lot of bugs and glitches which leads to loopholes and exploits. The technical curriculum is too basic and the filler subjects which aren't necessary are discussed in detail too much resulting in the overall curriculum not being fit for the real world. Some faculties are really good and teach in depth while most of them just do not care about to syllabus or just have a bad teaching style which doesn't gain the focus of students and destroys interest in subjects. There are too many exams (more than needed) which hinders students to pursue other stuff online to generate some revenue or follow their passion side-by-side.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for my course is 1,20,000 + 10,000 (exam fees) per semester. I got category-1 cut-off in LPU NEST examination which is the inter-school scholarship exam which decreased me fees to 91,000 (81,000+10,000) per semester. There are also different schemes that the university provides like one of my girlfriend is a single girl child so she got scholarship based on being a single girl child which is a good initiative by the university.
Campus Life
The campus is huge and involves countless number of clubs in it. There are multiple tech fests too and is organised by the students of clubs partenered with LPU Alumni as the sponsors of the events in exchange promoting their own startups and ventures in the fests. The library is multi floored and ranges from having multiple numbers of every book from each course. University also focuses on sports with big sports complexes built in the large campus including sports grounds. But if the students are caught doing disciplinary actions in the campus sometimes a 'UMC' can be filed on them resulting in the cancellation of scholarship for the student, which is very harsh.
Admission
The admission process was done online. We had to fill out all the forms and submit them on the online dashboard ourselves only. For the LPU NEST entrance exam I got the highest cut off which reduced my 1,20,000 fees by 30% making it 81,000 + 10,000 admission fees (per semester 91,000). The thing that I didn't like about the admission process is that when we had to physically go for the induction, most of the planned things were cancelled, the seating arrangements weren't planned thoroughly and a lot of time was wasted due to the same.
