Remarks

The only good thing is location of the college. College is good for economical weak students.university is also helpfull for their students. Location of the college is very good/loving .Managements are careless about the college managements. In my tenure

PTU CET, Student can take admission in this college through management quota also directly through corporate office panchkula Chandigarh or counselling conducted by the college in various city in various states.

Course Curriculum Overview

Good. Electronics and communication engineering afliated by AICTE and college affiliated to Punjab technical university. Course distributed in eight semester having total 6600 marks. Faculty of electronics and communication are good.

Internships Opportunities

None company came for internship. Some company came for training cum placement process.All the students trying to off campus placement. A good thing is that all the college students of Punjab technical university participate in the campus placement of other college of PTU affiliated college.

Placement Experience

Dull. But most of the students joined various company by their own skill and by off campus placement. Maximum students are from other states and they also placed in PSU company also by their hard labour.

College FEST. Also PTU University conduct technical FEST.sympojiam, spelling bee compition, NFS computer game,NSS - national service scheme.computer games also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. Even semester-32696/-Odd semester-29214/-Total -61910/annum. Registration fee includes, no any extra fee . If you fail some subjects in any summester then you have to pay those papers registration fee.

Yes , college offered and tied up the various banks for student loan.like Punjab national bank, state bank of india, also support students to avail loan facility from their home town based bank.

Gender ratio very poor.Hostel parties nil.Cultural societies good.all the students are supportive and the are very friendly in nature. College have no any rationalism. Students from all religion and they are with friends.

All the rooms of the hostel are sharing basis. Rooms are average, mess are also average. Hostels room are situated in the lap of hilly beauty and nature.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpfull. They help in preparing the exam like internal, labs and external exam is university exam .They also guide us the pattern of exam paper.they also took our extra lecture class in the hostel.

Exam Structure

Exams were conducted by PTU. University and college take exam in 60:40 ratio.PTU take exam for 60 marks and college take exam for 40 marks(24 for sessional,10 for assignments and 6 for attendance).

Average. Some are just pass out from the same college some are good and experienced. They are punctual and laborious. They come to attend their period with their full preparation.

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
