College review for lovely professional university, punjab

The curriculum here is great there would be 24-26 credits per semester with 6 subjects and 2 labs.there is one mid term and endterm which consists of 70% of weightage,5 % would go for attendance and remaining 25% is continuos assessments which are conducted as per the faculty wish.the reappear system here is good,if someone fails in any subject he or she would not get direct backlog instead they should write reappear exam and can pass the subject.the faculty here are not much experienced but some are good.the curriculum would be good if you practically prepare for it else it would be boring.the difficulty of mid term exams would be easy but coming to end term the papers were tough.

Iam currently in my 6th semester where internship oppurtunities have started.There are lot of companies already visited now offering at an avg of 30000 per month stipend.every company has taken around 5 students on an average.Amazon took 11 students offering 1 lakh per month stipend.if you wish to join a product based company you would need around 2 real time projects atleast.Most of the companies come for webdevelopers so make sure you focus on that field

Campus placement would start in 6th semester it is 2nd term of third year.the Placements here are okayish this year as the job market was not good but there are lot of companies visiting lpu.one with no backlogs can get some placement based on his/her skill the highest packages are given by companies like amazon, instabase, servicenow etc.most of the companies provide full stack developer roles,90% of the students get placed in lpu.after 3rd year you would be provided with some intership if your academics and skills are good and then it is converted into full time employment.last year there are around 300 companies visited for intership

Tution fee is based on the course you take on.for btech cse it is 120000 for semester without scholarship.it would have changed now,no idea.for me the fees was 88000 for semster including 3k of exam fees.I opted hostel which costed be around 80000 and mess facility which is 35000 total cost per year would be around 3lakh including all expenses.part time jobs are available in the ums portal so the openings would be there everytime so one could register for the role and can get an interview call

There are many events conducted here.if you observe lpu conducts events everyday,the annual event was one india event which is conducted in the month of april,there is large scope in clubs as there are 200 clubs in lpu where one can freely join them.there is a large library of 4 floors with many books.there are labs for every course where one can conduct there research there.campus life is great in lpu where one could get their own freedom living here.while any event is conducted if there is clash between the class they would provide attendence for that hour

There are 8 hostels for boys and 6 for girls,you have 4,3,2,1 seater ac/non ac rooms.a 1 seater room would cost you around 2 lakh and a 4 seater costs 80000.if you choose not to live in hostel you can live in law gate pg's near by.but i would prefer you to stay in hostel as it is safe and secure here.a basic room has attached washroom, ac, geyser, cot, table and chair for a person.there is no specific timings for hostel for boys for girls there would be some restrictions.to register for hostel one can apply in ums.coming to mess there is a standard meal option where you can eat unlimited food but the taste is not so good i would rate 3 for it.if not mess you can eat outside as there are 200 stalls around lpu opened till 12pm night.

admission process was easy first you have to register for lpunest examination it would be conducted in phases.the fees for the exam would be around 1k.based on the scores you would get scholarship on fees.if you got 85 percentile in jee mains lpunest is exempted.and based on the scores of class 12 scholarship is allocated
