What Students Say

Likes

Hostel Life, where every student can get and enjoy there life. Can get the valuable experience in life which is important.
Night outs with friends and going to movies, trips and bunking the classes.
Classes, where we can enjoy the backbenchers seating and sleep with friends.

Dislikes

Hostel security, the security is high in LPU and there are very strict guards in LPU.
No ragging in LPU , i kinda don't like that caz it is one of the fun we do miss in college.
Some teachers discrimination who favours the north students but don't favours the students from remaining side of India.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had chosen the CSE branch and it influenced me a lot in tech activities. The curriculum really prepares everyone for real-world applications in every possible activities. The teaching part is good so I think there's no any improvements needed in the curriculum and teaching methods. The difficulty level of the exam will be moderate and supportive for students. So, it can encourage and help the students in better way.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Placement Experience

From third semester the students can eligible for the campus placements. So many companies will visit the lpu and they give really good offers for the students. The highest package is 64lpa and the average is 3-4lpa around. The percentage of students getting placed is probably 60-70 percentage. I planned to do job for atleast 5-10 years then start the trading in stock marketing.

Fees and Financial Aid

In LPU, the fee structure is one time payment and it is one of the difficult one to be noted. The tution fee is fixed throughout the btech and it is per semester. The complete cost of the education is almost 3 lakhs per year now but in future it may increase caz of the fame and name of the lpu. If you qualify the lpu nest exam there will be a scholarship for your tution fee only based on the score you got in the exam. I am currently undertaking the campus employment so I'm not experienced to say about job roles and stipends awarded.

Campus Life

Yeah in LPU there will be so many fests and technical festivals that students will enjoy a lot. There will be availability of books in the library for 24/7. The facilities and technologies are good like there will be moniter where the teacher explains the class. The lpu also encourage the sports and extracurricular activities where every student can apply and participate in it. Yeah there are some student clubs which includes every possible activities clubs and social groups and every information is shared in these groups and clubs. So they help a lot in students growth.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are also good, they will provide a bench, chair,rack and a bed to students. The meal is normal it's sometimes good and sometimes bad. LPU provide an app called LPU ums where you can book your hostel and residential facilities in that website. No, I didn't rented a room or pg.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Admission

You can join by writing the exam called LPU nest and can get the benefit of tuition fee deduction. By that score you can opt the course you want and you can find the portal in lpu.com in that you can get every detailed information about the fees, where you have to apply for the exam,dates and how many times you can apply. Everything is perfect in point of studies. So, you can search any other information you want.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
