Navigating LPU: A campus experience

Their specialisation in Data mining and Machine learning are top notch and is of international standards. they are very upto date about the happenings in the techonogical happenings around the world and has modified and curated their curriculam accordingly which can be beneficial for the students. their courses are designed to prepare the students for the real world as the world is preparing for an AI boom these aspects have been incorporated into their course material. the support from the staff to guide the students in the right direction is also commendable and needs a mention. there are exams designed at specific modules and is not taxing on the students and beneficial to their advancements in the course. the moderately difficult exams really stimulates the learning capabilities of the students and challenge them to work harder. the teacinhs are adequate and the professors take care of the needs of the children and are very supportive at all time.

the university can be pretty expensive for an average middle class family but with the availability of various student loans and scholarships the university provides various options for the bright students. the cost of education can go upwards 11 lakh for a full 4 year course but there are sports scholarships that offer 10% relaxations and special schemes for students from north east regions and from army families. University also provide scholarship for students scoring 95% above in 12th exam or equal in the university entrance exam, a relaxation of 50 % of thee fee can be availed which is very remarkable. various other scholarships are available for disabled persons, orphan applicants, defense personals, toppers of school, etc.

The campus has various activities and festivals. The big auditorium is always buzzing with activities like lectures and personalities from the industry. some of the campus events are LPU's Global open fest. there are stunt shows conducted. Musical nights and standup perfomance by famous comedians. many bollywood personalities visit the college as part of the culturals and various movie promotions. there are many social groups and clubs run by the students that focus on various tatses of the students. upwards of 300 student organisations are run in the university with over 500 plus events conducted some of the clubs are the code solvers, cyphers, gravity, igniting dreams etc. the events are conducted around special occasions like freshers indiction , university day, holidays etc

the university conducts an entrance test through which we can apply for the admission. class 12 students of the science stream with a sixty percentage pass mark can apply for the exam. the application forms can be downloaded from the official website of the university and is pretty easy. all the key dates and fee details can also be found on the website. also students can collect the respectives from the university office. students with a valid JEE main score can also apply. Online regestration starts on July and it is recomended to apply at the earliest. the difficulty of the university exam is on par with the JEE mains and students preparing for JEE can easily tackle the exam. some areas that could be improved is the accessibilty of the forms from the wensite, sometimes it can be a hassle. Overall the admission process is quite straight forward and can be a little difficult to crack if not well prepared.
