Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course ELectrical electronics was perfectly organised over 8 semester. 1st and 2nd sememster was all basic and had elements from other departments like, C programming from CSE, CAD from Mechanical, Physics, Chemistry etc. 3rd and 4th was fundamental subjects required for our filed. 5th and 6th had little more advanced subjects. even had elective subject which we can select based on our interest 7th and 8th sem had comapratively less subjects, and we were encouraged to do projects and internship during these semester. We had very well experienced and collaborative faculties

Internships Opportunities

3.5

there are many internships offered by colleges and collaborated coampanies and organisations. We even have workshops and organised by departments, Clubs Industrial visits and interaction with industrials

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are pretty good. Last year we had more than 80% placement. this year due to recession the number of hiring is down but we have good number of students placed. We even have placement training and assisstance. placement training starts right from 3rd semester. and Placement starts from end of 6th sem

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee was more or less same every year. it was almost around 40k per year for CET students. We had Subject level cash price, Merit based Scholarships and even government scholarships can be availed. We have Scholarship section in college who provide info and assisstance to apply these scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

Even though campus is little small comapred other colleges, we had good campus life. Our college host annual tech symposium and a cultural fest called Phaseshift and utsav respectively. where students divide the work and organise everything required for the event to go peacfully. Some celebrities are also invited as guests. We even have clubs headed by students. Our college has almost 40 clubs.

Admission

I was Shortlisted to BMS Via KCET councelling. My KCET ranking for Engineering was 9K. and I had also applied for RV College of engineering,PES, but I was alloted to BMS based on my ranking. KCET is common entranxce test for Karnataka pre university students which happens annually after 2nd PU board exams. This exam requires constant practise and comapritively easy. The admission process was simple, as I was alloted by KCET to this college, I had to pay Fees ( which was less compared to management quota) and submitted the document proof.

Other Applied Colleges

R V College of Engineering - [RVCE] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Electrical and Electronics Engineering)

wasn't shortlisted because of KCET ranking

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
