Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum at BMS College of Engineering is generally well-regarded for its relevance and comprehensiveness, offering a strong foundation in engineering principles and practical applications. Here's a breakdown: The curriculum's focus on practical learning through laboratory sessions, industry projects, and internships influenced my decision to choose this course. Additionally, the inclusion of modern technologies and emerging trends in the syllabus ensures that students are equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills. The curriculum effectively prepares students for real-world applications by integrating theoretical concepts with hands-on experience. Projects and internships provide valuable exposure to industry practices, while seminars and workshops bridge the gap between academia and industry requirements. Moreover, the emphasis on problem-solving improves thinking personality.

Specific details regarding the regularity and rate of fee hikes can be obtained from the college administration or official website.

Campus Life

My overall experience with campus life at BMS College of Engineering in Bangalore was vibrant and enriching, characterized by a blend of academic rigour, social engagement, and extracurricular activities. Here's a breakdown of various aspects: UTSAV- The cultural festival typically takes place in February or March and showcases a variety of performances, competitions, and cultural events. TEXUS- The technical festival is usually held in September or October and features workshops, seminars, and competitions related to engineering and technology. The college library offers a wide range of books, journals, and research publications catering to various disciplines of engineering and allied fields. The library is easily accessible to students and provides a conducive environment for study and research.

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
