What Students Say

Likes

The huge campus and mainly that yum food of the food court's
Getting all facility inside one huge campus
So many opportunities that they provides us every single day

Dislikes

well all i dislike is the negative marking thing in exams
Sometimes the time table of classes specially 8 am ones
The reduction in attendance for missing the classes

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is great to be honest and for the main coding part the university provides us with such great coding platforms. In the first semester you'll learn python html css javascript and in the second semester you'll get to learn c and database.

Class Size: 68Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

Well the highest package right now is 64 lakh per year. I myself is a first year student right now so i don't know the current status of placements that is going around in the campus correctly. But yeah I have seen our seniors going for the interviews and stuff

Fees and Financial Aid

The real fee during my time was 1 lakh 20 thousand per sem but with the scholarship that I got it is near 80 thousand right now. I have no idea regarding the hostel fees or pg s near by. So yeah try to take the lpunest exam at the starting times because I myself delayed in doing it so and got a bit less amount of scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is really really huge for real. There are so many food courts, that one huge mall in the campus, those parks that they have made around every site, those sculptures too and so on. Even the block where our classes are held are quiet big with floors till 7 8 9 and yeah do not worry there are lifts too

Admission

The eligibility of the course is that you must have cleared your 12 with pcm as majors and in accordance to your percentage you can get a great scholarship too. You can find the application form from there main website and the fees for male is 1k and for female candidate is 500.The application starts from the Jan itself and goes on till june or July. Talking about reservation well I'd like to mention one thing for the candidate who belongs to the defence background that you can get a 20% scholarship from lpu ( take this scholarship only if you got less scholarship through lpunest). I'd like to advice you to give the lpunest exam at the starting time of admission to avail a great scholarship.

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
