What Students Say

Likes

A very clean and tobacco free campus and area is very big.
A very good campus placement which is really helpful for students.

Dislikes

A lot of pressure on students so no free time left.
Day scholars have to walk a large distance to reach the classroom.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course by choice because I want to do engineering since class 11 to solve real life problem. The curriculum is very well prepared to face real world application. The course curriculum is good but teaching style is old. Teachers need to improve their teaching style. Exam occurs in every 3-4 months and level of the exam is moderate.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 280000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

Students are placement ready from 3rd year onwards. Much companies visited last year like Google, Amazon, Cognizant, TCS, Uber, etc and around more than 5000 jobs offered to students. The highest package at LPU is 63 lpa and average package is around 7lpa. More than 70% students get campus placement. My plan after degree is higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees is 1.40 lakhs per semester and it is increasing every year. The total cost of education including all the fees is around 16 lakhs. If you score good in LPUNEST then you can avail some scholarship. I have not undertaken any role but you can take. And no such stipend is provided to students in the college.

Campus Life

The name of the annual festival is SPECTRA and a lots of activities were being done there. You can find almost all types of books and journal in the library. Students get benefits from smart classroom and smart board. You can take part in much sports such as cricket, badminton, table tennis, etc. Many groups are available for dance, drama, song, debate, etc which students can access.

Admission

Minimum 50+ mark in 10+2. I found all admission released details on college website. Exam occurs 3-4 times a year depending upon the seat vacant but the exam is quite hard. Admission process is smooth and easy.

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
