Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum at BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) is highly regarded for its relevance and comprehensiveness. Specific aspects such as a strong focus on practical learning through labs, projects, and internships influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum is designed to provide a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring students are well-prepared for real-world applications and further academic pursuits.

Fees and Financial Aid

At BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) in Bangalore, the tuition fee structure is subject to periodic adjustments influenced by factors such as inflation and infrastructure development. Apart from tuition, students encounter additional expenses like service and examination fees. BMSCE extends scholarships catering to diverse criteria like academic excellence, financial need, and specific donor requirements. These scholarships vary in amounts and eligibility prerequisites, encouraging students to inquire with the college administration for detailed information.

Campus life at BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) in Bangalore is dynamic and engaging, offering students a rich social experience and ample opportunities for personal and professional growth. The campus buzzes with energy as students participate in various clubs and organizations catering to diverse interests such as cultural, technical, and recreational activities. Annual festivals like "Aakarshana" (cultural festival) in February-March and "Sangamitra" (technical festival) in September-October provide platforms for showcasing talent and fostering community spirit. BMSCE boasts a well-stocked library with a wide range of books, journals, and research papers, facilitating academic excellence and research endeavours. Classrooms are equipped with modern amenities and technological provisions, enhancing the learning experience and promoting interactive sessions.

Admission

Application forms are usually available on the college website or can be obtained from the admission office. Applicants are required to fill out these forms and submit them along with the necessary documents and application fees within the specified application dates, which are also usually mentioned on the website or in the brochure. Regarding reservation benefits, BMSCE follows government-mandated reservation policies which may include reservations for categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and economically weaker sections. Details about reservation benefits are typically provided in the admission brochure or on the college website.

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
