- I loved the college staff. They were always good to me and very helpful. All were very kind and generous to me and have helped me in my time of need.

- I do not like the canteen. It's overly expensive and serves cold food. It also seems to be unhygienic.

- There is barely any space to park our vehicles due to which many times we have to park outside which is risky.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always had a passion for science as I took medical in 12th and for me B tech was the right course to opt for as it has helped me to help learn more of science and have a better view of science. Personaly my love for chemistry also played an important role as I was always good in it. I have learned alot in the time I have been here and my course has given me a full view of all the fields I can choose in my future and I get practical knowledge to prepare for the outside world. The course should also include much more practical knowledge than written as students get frustrated after a time due to constant boredom. Teachers are great and very helpful in general. We are given sufficient time in between our exams to prepare well and they are quiet hard. We have atleast 3 months in between our exams.
Internships Opportunities
The company that offered placement was TATA and the role was offered for employment in HR department. The starting income was 90,000 rupees. The project we had to do were based on our syllabus and what we have learned so far. It consisted mostly of biotechnology.
Placement Experience
After third semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies have visited the campus such as Tata, Microsoft India and different companies. Highest package offered range from 5 to 8 lakh rupees a month. The average sallary is somewhere in between 1 to 2 lakh per month. These involve many posts. 15% students get placements. Once I get the degree I will look for jobs through campus placement and namely in bigger cities like Delhi.
Fees and Financial Aid
I also feel that the hike in our fees is quite high and very unaccesory as it causes alot of problems for students financialy and these random hikes can disturb our finances. Our total fees including every thing is 1.5 Lakh a year and other minor charges for school trips and other cocurricular activities. Alot of scholarship are available for students such as for handicapped students. Most of them start from 80 thousand and can be as big as 1.5 lakhs and more. I am yet to undertake any campus employment but I'd love to. I was always the head of our group and handeled many of our projects and even performed Bhangra in our cultural activitiy day.
Campus Life
We have alot of festival and annual cultural events in our college. We have baisakhi celebration and Christmas celebration a day before Christmas in December. We also have indipendece day celebration as well. Our library has almost every book available in it and all of them in great conditions with a good sitting arrangement. The classroom has smart boards available which make learning much easier with good projection. A big sports ground is available with very different and big amount of sports available. I personally play badminton and I have recently also started to play some basketball. We also have annual sports day and I have also decided to participate this year. We have students association which is responsible for organizing extra activities and events. It is also responsible for organizing our trips.
Admission
To be able to apply for B tech you need minimum 65% You can take application from college or fill it from online website of LPU and you will be charged 500 and you can look up dates to fill form on thier website. We were given 3 hours to complete our enterance exam and there were other students. The exam was very tough and it took me alot of time and effort to understand the questions. It was quite lengthy as well. Please Fastrack the process of exams and selection. It is quite time taking process and students have to wait for alot of time also please make the form a little cheaper as it costs alot to get one form and if you make a mistake you need to get another one.
Interview Experience
The interviews can vary but it were mostly about my past experiences, future planning and how much efforts am I willing to put in my education. The process requires you to get a form of LPU and fill all the details and submit a copy of adhaar card and your 12th marksheet after which you will be interviewed and counselled regarding career choice and then we will have to give a entrance exam in order to qualify. I looked up on internet and asked my friends who were already in LPU about interview questions. I prepared myself to face the situation with confidence and went with it.
