Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The 1 st year was full of theory classes of anatomy biochemistry and physiology and only ther is some clinical exposure ,2 nd year is full of clinical postings and it is very useful to become a good doctor , I think the teaching side needs improvement ,the classes are not interesting any more full of ppt lwctures ,i think more time for self study is needed .

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is about 25370 and other hostel rent mess fee and current bill ,establishment fee all about 5000 per month and the total for 1 year is a large amount ,and for me the tuition fee is covered by scholarship . To think of private college is not possible considering their fee structure

Campus Life

4

The college infrastructure is poor considering other colleges in kerala , but i love the campus life and the atmosphere .the hospital is quite large but only small area provided for campus and there is no space for a free time in the campus all crowded with buildings and near by hospital crowd and aall. But the seniors and the students and college programs all are very nice and thats what the college life make better

Admission

I cracked neet entrance exam with a score of 635 out of 720 and secured a seat in govt medical college kottayam. The cut off for neet in that year was 600 to get a govt college in kerala and about 550 in india .the admission process were somewhat difficult cause it only allowed 3 -4 days ande we have to travel from here and in there we were almost spent awhole day for the admossion provess and it became difficult to come back . I have a obc student reservation but the seat got without reservtion.now i have completed the 1 st year it was a tough year to complete ,now the 2 nd year i think its even more challenging to me.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is very good and it covers everything that is needed to become a doctor. The exams are quite difficult which is needed. Even if anybody fails the exam they keep another one in a month which allows us to save a year and continue with the rest of our peers

The curriculum we follow is cbme and they provide with us a better competitive areas and competancy based learning. We have feild works and community works than the collge areas . Will let the student to think out of the frame . The exam that are held in colleges are mostly difficult bout not that difficult that an average peraon can acheive mark if they work hard or give their mind to the subjects.
