LPU Review : An honest look

First year of every engineering colleges have almost the same curriculum. It is done to so that all the engineering students can have a basic idea about engineering. From 2nd year , the syllabus is specific according to the courses. Computer science is one of the best fields in engineering with its never-ending syllabus and evolution , making the whole curriculum hectic and interesting at the same time. The technological world has now taken a sharp turn towards AI and ROBOTICS which without any introduction deals with all the practical problems and real-world applications. Courses taught over here can be made more detail-oriented and also many new exciting platforms for problem solving and lectures can be introduced. Exams conducted are of 1.5 hours , all the questions are of easy level .

LPU's internship cell is not as effective as their placement cell. They provide all the necessary training and preparation to crack any internships.BOSCH , Amazon , Cognizant are few companies that hire students with a decent stipend.

Students are eligible for placements and internships from 3rd year. Hundreds of companies visit LPU for placements. Highest package is around 60 lpa whereas the average package stands at 6 lpa. Almost every student gets placed over here.

Fees for a semester is around 90000. So for a year it's 180000. Hostel fees is 100000 for an year along with mess fees of 40000. The fees remains constant. Students can avail for scholarships through LPUNEST entrance exam.

LPU is a vast campus expanding upto 700+ acres in area. Lots and lots of fests happen over here but the major ones occur in october-december. The library of LPU is also big with a great collection. Classrooms and lecture halls are just like any other typical college. LPU offers all kinds of coaching for sports , a lot of people from LPU has gone on to represent India in hockey and olympics including Neeraj Chopra. LPU has a lot of clubs focussing on skill enhancements.

Every room in the hostel has an attached bathroom , getting rid of all the chaos that'd have occured. There's an AC , Heater and geyser. All students will be provided a cot , study table , chair and wardrobe. Hostel rooms on the whole is a great deal. Mess food on the other hand is quite opposite. It lacks taste.

Getting a seat in LPU isn't a hard task , all you have to do is clear an entrance exam called LPUNEST. You can also get into LPU by clearing JEE mains , Board exams and CUET. The courses LPU offers is eligible to every person who manages to pass their board exams with an aggregate of 60% in their core subjects. You can find and register for an application in LPU's official webiste. There are no reservation system , scoring good marks in the entrance will definitely avail you a decent scholarship. Exams conducted in LPU are of easy level. You'll have unit tests regularly and after 2 months into the semester , you'll be asked to give your mid-terms , not so hard by the way. LPU's admission progress is one of the best right now in India , their advertising strategies has been their key as they have over 35000-40000 students studying here.
