Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Our curriculum is competency based. We used to follow AETCOM. The reason I chose this course is because of my passion. We have to attend our clinical postings from 2nd year onwards. After each posting you have to pass end posting exam.. For improving yourself, attend each exam and posting genuinely.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are no campus placements. But you definitely have a intership programme of one year. The period is so stess full that sometimes you have to work for continuous thirtysix hours..You would get salary around 25 thousand per month in Kerala. After the intership program you have to leave your college and you can either go for working or higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students with financially backward category and other reserved students get many scholarship like E grantz. They used to get full amount of tuition fee as scholarship amount. There is no campus placement. But there is definitely intership program of one year with arount twenty five thousand per month salary. It may varu depending on various states.

Campus Life

5

The infrastructure provided is excellent. Each class room is smart classrooms. Teachers used to teach us using ppts. Also there is clinical posting everyday. Surgeries and OPs are also attended. Campus is amazing. We used to celebrate all most all festivals. There are various clubs like music, dance, literature, cinema, sports, etc

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel fee is 600 per month . And mess fee 3000 per month. No other fees are remetted. Meal quality is adjustable. It is neither too bad nor too good. In the first year there are four students per room. In the second and third year there are three ou two students. In the final year snd intership year you would get single room.

Admission

For availing the course you should pass your 12 grade exam. Then you have to appear for all india entrance examination called NEET. After the result is published, as per your rank you could choose the course and college. Students with higher ranks would get MBBS. Then comes BDS, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Agriculture, Vetienary, etc.. Students with highest rank would get admission in Institutes like AIIMS., and others will be enrolled into state medical colleges. Students with reservation have priority in getting admission , like, they have reserved seats. The difficulty of NEET is far more as compared to your 12 th grade exam. You have to thoroughly study your NCERT books, and along with it you have to solve as many as questions as possible. Also you have to go through previous year question papers. NEET Exam is held once every year.

Our curriculum is very good and it covers everything that is needed to become a doctor. The exams are quite difficult which is needed. Even if anybody fails the exam they keep another one in a month which allows us to save a year and continue with the rest of our peers

It's a rather strict college, so if you're looking to have a lot of fun and no pressure, this wouldn't be the place for you. The Amrita University is well known abroad, and would be beneficial if you're planning a post graduation abroad.
