My interest for physics influenced me to take up this course as I want to learn physics in detail. The curriculum is really diverse and practical labs are very helpful in understanding the concepts in detail There is a need to improve the quality of food provided in the mess and the instruments in lab Exams take place three times in a semester, one is minor 1 ,other is minor 2 and the final one is major exam Minor 1 = 20 marks Minor 2 = 20 marks Major = 50 marks 10 marks for. Assignment = Total 100 makes The exam pattern is of moderate level,we can easily qualify with good marks if we study well and on time. Teachers are very friendly and expert in their subjects. My love for physics has increased after taking admission in this college Exam pattern is also simple There are 5 or 10 mcqs and long and short questions comprising of 5 and 3 marks respectively. My admission for admission in smvdu in best and I love my university I will do best in future with the support of my teachers

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Complete cost is approximately 1 lakh per annum. Yes there is scholarship for top 3% students of the merit list. Scholarship system is best as it gives motivation to students to study and work hard . Tuition fees for master's is more as compared to bachelor's degree

Campus Life

There is two types of annual fests known as Sarang and resurgence which are held in the month of April . A wide range of books are available in library. Multimedia facilities are available in every class rooms Sports club is doing fine. Tournaments take place regularly.

Admission

Students who have passed their 12th with physics, chemistry and maths are eligible for this course Application forms were available on the official site of smvdu The entrance exam was cancelled at the time of my admission due to covid . The admission process was easy .

College campus is best as we enter the college
Spending time with friends at the campus in free tym is just like awesome
All facilities are available in campus playground, swimming , library etc.

Dislikes

Canteen is small according to student population
Sitting space in canteen is not as much gud
Some appliances are not working properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all, I had taken science in my 12th too, that is why I wanted to continue in science and due to my interest in physics and chemistry, I continued in this course. The curriculum provides me with Whatever is sufficient in my course and whatever knowledge I need, I will have more than that. Exam timing should be in the afternoon only because morning gets very late in coming due to which exam gets skipped, rest it is perfect

Government Degree College for Women- Academically marvelous with good infrastructure.

Likes

The campus beautiful and very well maintained. It has a beautiful playground and is located in the middle of the town.
This college is safe and secure for girls. It has some unique features like Committee Against Sexual Harassment, Anti Ragging Committee etc.
The campus has drinking water facilities, good canteen with good food and great administration.

Dislikes

The sitting arrangement for the students is not upto the mark.
The college does not provide good transportation facilities for students coming from far flung areas who face a lot of difficulty in reaching the campus.
The washrooms need improvement. The hygiene needs to be improved. More washrooms should be constructed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very interesting. The specific areas that influenced my decision are Number Theory and and Calculus. In this course we're taught everything that we need to pursue higher studies like M.Sc. The exams are conducted by University of Kashmir and the difficulty level is average. The faculty is highly qualified and the teaching method employed is to deliver a lecture and it can be improved by making the sessions more interactive and immersive by increasing the use of technology like smartboards.

College has a newly constructed classroom building of 5 -6 floors equiped with smartboards & new infrastructure.
Teachers are very cooperative & friendly with students
College has a great environment & far away from highway making it less noisy from traffic noise.

Dislikes

College has a very small campus size & no one is talking about that
College does not care about hostellers for instance we were drinking unpurified water from last year
Not clean drinking water for students, tastes sandy when you drink it no purifier

Course Curriculum Overview:

Information technology was my interest based course that I opted in.. but when I saw the course syllabus it was old & theoretical based, lacks new & fresh syllabus would not guarantee job. Course could be better if newly updated syllabus would be include. Despite having smartboards no one is teaching on them or talking about using them.. Exams & syllabus Easy because of old curriculam
