Course Curriculum Overview
During the first and second semesters the curriculum does not include core subjects.Only python and oops concepts will be covered.In the second and 3rd years we have data structures, web development,DBMS, computer architecture, operating systems and design and analysis of algorithms. I need to say that only theoretical concepts are covered thoroughly.i feel that there is a need of creating practical knowledge among the students. The exams will be conducted at the end of semester which is of 60 marks and duration is 3 hours.The paper usually is in the range of easy to medium depending upon the professor.
Internships Opportunities
A total of 280 internships were offered to 3rd year cse students last year and the highest stipend was 100000 from arcesium.The stipend for cse ranges from 25k to 100k rupees.I do not know much about the projects during the internships.
Placement Experience
Students get placed at the end of 6th sem. Mostly all the cse students get placed at any salary ranging from 4.5 lpa to 48 lpa.Companies such as JPMC, Microsoft, Salesforce, TCS visit the college. The highest package last year is from sales force 46 lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
If you go through TS EAMCET and secure a rank below 10000 you need to pay single penny for your education fee as it gets reimbursed by the government of Telangana but this does not include travelling and hostel fee. Hostel fee is 90000 per year and if you are nearby college and you are travelling through college bus it costs 40000 per year.But If you won't get a rank below 10k then u need to pay the tuition fee of 140000 per year.
Campus Life
Shruthi and sudhee are the fests held in the college.of which sudhee is technical fest and Shruthi Is a cultural fest.These fests are usually held in the month of January or February.College has a Library which is big enough capable of delivering the needs of the students ranging from course books,journals, news papers.There are nearly 40 clubs in the college.Mostly all the clubs are active during the fest, inactive during other days. College holds a 3 day sports event "aura" every year during which all kinds of sports are played competing other colleges. Internship branch games are also held.
Hostel Facilities
During the first year 7 students stay in a room in the next years each room accomodates 4 students.I would the food is average. The PG's are cheaper than college hostel they cost around 6500 per month. Hostel locality kokapet.
Admission
To get into college you need to appear a state level entrance exam of Telangana which is EAMCET.The exam is 3 hour long consisting of math 80 marks, physics and chemistry 40 marks each.To get into this college in CSE branch one needs to score a rank below 3000 depending upon the reservation.The exam is held around the time of jee mains examination. After getting selected you get to choose the college through selection of the college of your choice through online.And the seat allotment is done in 3 rounds. What i didn't like during the process of admission is that I had to submit a lot of hardcopies of documents even though when you have the facility to collect soft copies.Moreover the fee which they collect for Library and Id cards is very high.
