Remarks

Facilities of college can be greatly improved. Canteen food can be improved. Administration can be improved. College as whole can be improved for the betterment of the future candidates that are about to pursue their education in ACE

Entrance Preview

At my time of joining College which happens to be by 2014, only a few colleges were offering biomedical stream and only 8-10 college were offering BME in Chennai. And on few ground work, I thought Alpha College of Engineering would be the best choice for BME as it was both effective costs wise also teaching wise.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

So when it comes to choosing Biomedical engineering one has to be very clear about setting the vision of the future to be it a career or earning. Because of the course, biology is not just a cool IT job where you can find an immediate higher paying job and settle with life. This is a wide stream meant for research and pursuing higher degrees. Except for this course naturally exhibits examinations like rest of the course

Internships Opportunities

We never had a paid internship provided by our college. But we do have internship and implant training arranged by our college which certified students of their training. We also had hands-on training (workshop) in live medical equipment handled by experts in the industry. All these are observed to happen between your 5th and 8th semester.

Placement Experience

5

We were a batch of 50 students studied from 2014-2018. Our batch was announced 100% placed batch. As all my batch mates who cleared finals were placed in even more a better company. Myself I am placed in 3 companies. Two of those companies was claimed to be core companies related to my stream and one of the other company offered me a job is a banking sector.

College Events

4.5

The three major events celebrated in our college were Sports day, Annual day and college day. These two events will likely be celebrated between the month of Jan and march as per the convince of administration. Apart from that, each department has its own symposium and nation/international conference. Hostile people will be celebrating the hostle day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since my college is ruined by Alpha group of education institutions which is a trust who's the main source of moving management is funds and donations, students were expected to pay least fees. The college never had donations from students to the best of my knowledge. You will have to pay fees twice a year as tuition fee. Facilities fees will be charged for every student separate fees for using transportation, hostel.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college will provide a special scholarship for people who have 85% in their hsc board exams. Candidates who score above 85% in the semester is also provided with a decent scholarship. For that, the students should have to keep no history of arrear. Apart from that we college students can avail government scholarships as well

Campus Life

4.5

Students joining ACE can expect an average college life with new exposure to society. Will definitely have good friends supporting faculties. The gender ratio would fall somewhere between 50-50. Yes, Ace has equal about of candidates in both the gender. Our college is a Malayali Christian minority. We have students from all across India studying with us. The college was pretty decent at generating candidate with skills in co-curricular and extracurricular activities

Hostel Facilities

4.5

If asked to rate from the scale of 1-5 for hostile I would rate it to be 3.5. If asked to rate from the scale of 1-5 for mess food I would rate it to be 3.5. alongside we have water purifier (RO purifier installed) which provides water 24/7. For day scholars we have canteen access as till college timing. For hosteler. They have been served food to their room at a time basis. Three-course meal a day. And the hostel is pretty decent.

Alumni/Alumna

As a farm, I am concerned all my senior students were alumni of the college where all of them were placed in a decent position who was always ready to help the college. And they often connect with junior and give clarity on their needs

Exam Structure

The exam structure was followed strictly as per the university schedule. We had eight semesters. All those planned to happen at an interval of six-month each. Which covers three internal exams, three practical exams and one final practical and theory exam per semester. We were given proper study holidays and calendar leaves and semester holidays between the semesters.

Admission

Post completion of my twelfth board exam I was expecting for my results. Shortly after results I applied for counselling in Anna university for Engineering. Also I did personal ground work on which college would be best for me to pursue my course. We finally came up with joining ACE and once my admission with ACE was confirmed by anna university officially , we received the admission letter from university and showed it to the administration deck at college and it was that simple that all the procedure were taken over by college itself, that even my parents find little work on the whole process

Faculty

5

During my time if education we had a separate department consisting of one Head Of the Department, one Lab Assistant and nine Assistant professors. All were specialized in their own stream. BME nearly covers all those core from ECE, MECH, CSC, IT, medicine and physiology as well. To cover all our subjects regarding courses we did needed talented teachers, which we had. and we sought their help in multiple occasions be it in academics or mentoring career life. We always had our teachers at our AID
