Remarks

Though every coin has two sides, I dont want to highlight the bad side of alma matter. For me GITA is the best. One can only realise this after entering into the system.

Entrance Preview

I came to know from my teachers that GITA is one of the best engineering colleges in Odisha. After appearing OJEE entrance I have already decided to join GITA. So I inquired the other aspects of GITA such as academics, hostel facilities, Library facility, Sports and other facilities in order to justify my decision. I found all the facilities of GITA are of high standard. So I decided to join GITA to pursue my higher education.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provide internship. I had availed two internships, one in my third year at BSNL and the other in my final year at NALCO. In both the places I got stipend and my overall experience as a trainee was excellent

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't get any scholarship, as I am from general caste. But yes I availed loan from PNB. The college has tied up with PNB. So the branch inside the campus gave me a loan.

Campus Life

The gender ratio was quite good. GITA is having equal nos of GIRLS and BOYS as far as hostel life is concerned. We were having separate music club, robotics club, Sports club, NSS, NCC, Youth Redcross unit, coding club, typing club, highly equipped gym. All these clubs were headed by faculty members.

Admission

After appearing counselling I got a seat in a other college though that college was of good repute . But I was reluctant to join that college because I have made up my mind to join GITA.So I have not joined that college. Later I have taken admission through spot.

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

DRIEMS UNIVERSITY review after 5 year of frustrating experience legacy will be continued ????....

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Campus Chronicles

I chose this college because it aligned with my academic interests, offered a vibrant campus life, and provided excellent career opportunities. The faculty's expertise in my field of study and the availability of research opportunities were major deciding factors. My college is located in a city with ample internship and job opportunities. Some other colleges were in remote areas with fewer prospects for networking. For some competitive colleges, I fell short on specific criteria such as standardized test scores or extracurricular achievements. In hindsight, I could have prepared earlier or gained more relevant experiences to enhance my application....Read More
